He won't let anyone get in his way, not angelic armies, scheming guilds, or the people who want to talk about that time he altered the fundamental laws of magic. Which isn't as bad as it sounds, he promises.

Jason's taking a gap year, whatever he has to do to make it happen. Manipulate a prestigious noble house into liberating a slave town. Attempt to extort every government on the planet. Blow up and subsequently rebuild the occasional city. Gods help anyone who tries to stop him, but the gods probably won't because they've met Jason and they know how that usually goes.

A sad downfall

I have very much enjoyed and recommended these books. I love the adventure! But I hate him adding the pronoun game. Only narcissist make others change their language to make themselves feel better about themselves and use it as a pretents to feel superior. This pushes me away as a reader. I loved the story.

I had to put it down

because I truly didn't want it to end too fast. filled with the usual fantastic story telling and amazing adventures I am just sad that I have to wait for more again. This series has a very different feel to the others in this genre. It feels more real if that makes sense. I keep waiting for the shoe Dawn was talking about in book 8 to drop. I thought when Jason got stabbed by the sword that we finally were about to get a glimpse. He's so powerful now and has faced astral kings and great astral beings. I find it very difficult to believe anything or anyone can pose even a minor threat to him now. I keep wracking my brain in thought regarding this. I thought after he sat on the sundered throne in the last book that the great astral beings were gonna enslave him somehow and his friends were gonna have to help him or something. I feel a bit paranoid? I cannot wait to see what happens next. If I had the brains I would probably be inventing the time machine to get there faster.

Banter

This is the series that got me into the lit RPG genre. books 10 and 11 were a bit slow for me. I feel like this book brought back all the things I loved and I can't wait to continue listening to this absolutely amazing series!!!!

wish it was 10 hours longer.

This book spent alot of time setting up for the next round of challenges and closing other side stories. This is great , because a good story needs those things but I just wish it was a bit longer. over all I am pleased and impressed about the authors ability to keep everything in order from the 1st book to now.

Break from the action

This was a real five footer plot-wise, but it was still entertaining. Looking forward to the next one

Excellent continuation of a flawless story

Loved this addition. Seeing how far Jason has come and finally getting the respect he has earned through so many trials is heart warming.

a great listen

looking forward to more story though it will be some time I'm sure. Hopefully not too long of a wait for the next installment

This series

Absolutely loved this book, even though there was a little amount of fighting scenes, there were tons of hilarious interactions, I’ve listened to this entire series like 6 times now and will start once again today. Shirtaloon is amazing at writing books, if there was 100 books in this series, I’d buy them all.

I understand where Jason Asano is coming from on wanting to take revenge on those that have wronged you, but also knowing with "great power comes great responsibility". But I may have still just come in like a wrecking ball......
