Publisher's summary

A former model, a grumpy lawyer, and a single dad walk into an audition for a children's musical.... They’re all Miles Brodie. It’s only cute if you aren’t the director who’s being bribed to cast his daughter.

Dear Mr. Cross,

Re: our discussion

  1. True. Casting my daughter as the lead in your musical could be considered bribery if people find out I’m investing in it, but no one needs to know.
  2. I only want to hire you as Macy’s singing coach so her vocal skills will improve.
  3. Maybe if you’d spent less time surfing and more on your singing career, you wouldn’t be in this financial predicament.
  4. Re: your living situation—my neighbor has a guest house. If you cast Macy as Alice, I will pay for your first three months’ rent.

Do we have a deal?

Best regards,

Miles Brodie

Dear Mr. Brodie,

  1. It absolutely is bribery, but I absolutely need that money for my production. Thanks!
  2. It is very cute that you will do anything to get Macy this part, but I would only coach that sweet child as a favor to all mammals with functional hearing.
  3. If I spend less time surfing, will you spend less time jogging on my beach with your shirt off?
  4. You want to pay me to live next door so you don’t have to drive anywhere to frown at me?
  5. I have another condition for casting Macy as Alice—you have to perform the part of the Cheshire Cat.

Purrrrrrr,

Aria

This is a stand-alone multicast duet audiobook in the Brodie Brothers series. Narrated by Jason Clarke and Mackenzie Cartwright. Featuring Teddy Hamilton, Zachary Webber, Emma Wilder, Emily Woo Zeller, and Connor Crais.

All The Feels

Cheers to another “Brodie family” audio book! Jason Clarke’s performance is his best ever, in my opinion.
Also, hearing him saying “Mama” and “y’all” was somehow very satisfying for this Southern girl. Mackenzie Cartwright was a perfect choice for the leading lady. The entire cast is top notch. Be prepared for all the feels.

A repeat listen

Love the Brodie Brothers trio of audiobooks. All my favorite narrators in duet narration and great rom-com plotting and characters. Jason Clarke nails Miles grumpy “glass is always half empty’ personality and plays his joy at being near Aria so well too. I just love this book and the audio!

Loring at her finest!

This book was one of the best romcoms I’ve ever listened to and my personal favorite from Kayley Loring! The Brodie’s are so easy to fall in love with and Miles is 💯 swoon-worthy. I also adore Aria…she’s Miles’ (and Macy’s) perfect match. This was a feel good story - I was so contented just listening to it infold. Jam-packed with references you’ll appreciate, humor, heat, family, and romance…everything you could ever want! The all-star narration cast enhances your reading pleasure…you’ll be in awe of their talent. I give this book ALL THE STARS! Do not miss this exceptional listen!!!

Funny and Singing

Jason Clarke sings, both with his full voice, which is GORGEOUS, and his sort of singing voice, which is just as cute. Overall, I could have done a little less with the show inside the book, but overall, another funny full cast narration. Mackenzie Cartwright does a FABULOUS job with this narration as well. Kudos to Kayley Loring for really establishing an entertaining Brodie family dynamic.

So much fun!

This book, like the others in the series, was so much fun to listen to! I can’t get enough of the crazy Brody family and the antics that they get up to. The relationship that they all share as a family and with their partners is so heartwarming and fun to listen to.

Grumpy Miles with the wicked tongue!

Next to Pops Brodie, Miles Just might be my favorite Brodie brother. Miles is the grumpiest brother, single dad to a daughter who wants to be a singing star. Trouble is, Macy's a terrible singer. She's so determined to keep auditioning, and Miles doesn't have the heart to break hers by telling her the truth. So he continues to support her dreams.

If you're read the other books in this series, you'll recall Miles mentioning being attracted to someone. So this has been going on for a while, and we get the backstory in this book. Aria is a former Disney child star, turned producer of children's musical productions. Miles makes a deal with Aria to cast Macy in the lead of Alice in Wonderland. If you haven't figure it out, Aria is the woman Miles has been attracted to for a while. There's an obvious attraction, but Miles and Aria both work to be strictly professional. Until they don't. And this is when the fun really starts. Also, Miles has got quite the dirty tongue.

I love this series so much, and the text messages between the Brodie family should get their own story! Pops saving the family from Mama's drunken texts are some of my favorite. This is such a wonderful series, and the narrator casting has been just perfect.
