Publisher's summary

How can a whole family disappear into thin air?

An empty house on the edge of town … a teddy bear abandoned … a half drunk glass of wine … the TV left on and all the computer equipment missing. Where have Hutchinson Kemp and his wife and two children gone?

Detective Rondeau is on the verge of cracking up as he pursues the trail of the film-maker and his family who have disappeared without a trace. Rondeau discovers disturbing evidence that big money and government might have something to do with the chilling crime but no one seems to believe him anymore. Ignoring his skeptical police colleagues, he puts his life at risk as he races to find the family in this twisting-turning crime thriller.

Holy Cow! This narrator sounds just like…

… Richard Ferrone! When i first started listening I could have sworn this was Ferrone but it’s actually Keith Szarabajka. I actually looked both of them up to see if he was also recording under a pseudonym only to find out that Richard Ferrone passed away last month. He will be missed.
This is the third book in the North Country series. Each one deals with a different murder, however there are different detectives involved in each new case.
In this case a family of four goes missing. Other government agencies get involved and it appears quite a bit of money went missing as well. A conspiracy may be at play but…. you don’t get to find out until the very end what is going on. This is a real jaw dropper! I actually shook my head and had to relisten because I couldn’t believe it.
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
