Publisher's summary

From USA Today best-selling author Rina Kent comes a new stand-alone dark college romance.

I’m out for revenge. After careful planning, I gave the man who messed with my family a taste of his own medicine. I thought it’d end there. It didn’t.

Landon King is a genius artist, a posh rich boy, and my worst nightmare. He’s decided that I’m the new addition to his chess game. Too bad for him, I’m no pawn.

If he hits, I hit back, twice as hard and with the same hostility. He says he’ll ruin me. Little does he know that ruination goes both ways.

This book can be listened to on its own, but for a better understanding of the world, you might want to start with God of Malice.

Oh my Landon & Mia❤️

I wasn’t expecting this to be neither of their book nor them being the next couple. Never saw them coming but I love every part of it. I love when the worst of the worst, falls. His fall was amazing and Mia’s backbone was the strongest in the series so for. They’re a perfect match and the fire they created, was an inferno.🔥

Beautiful story

Another great book by Rina Kent. Loved the story and characters. The Duet Narration was everything. This couple didn’t move me like some of the other characters in other books but I still found this an excellent read and audio. I could only wish that the other LOG audio books could be redone with Duet narration. Duet narration just makes the listening experience so much better. Well done book and audio. Well worth the read and listen!

4.75/5 stars

I really didn't think that anyone was going to be able to steal the crown from Killian in my eyes, in walks Landon MFing King. Oh. My. Goodness. The deliciousness. When I tell you how much I loved this book, no matter what I say, will be an understatement. I have loved each one of the Legacy books, (I have read, re-read and listened to all of them) but truly this installment may take the entire cake for me. This is solely and utterly due to the characters themselves and this world that Rina has built. Landon was easily the most likeable and charismatic sociopath I have ever read (if that is even a thing, lol) and Mia was one of my favorite written FMCs of the entire year. Mia was tough, unapologetic, loyal, everything I look for in a strong FMC, I adored her. I loved the integration, as always, of characters from not only previous books in this series, but the entanglement of everyone from previous tiers of the Rina universe. The way these worlds seamlessly intertwine is magical. My ONLY protest was that the end did feel a bit rushed. We waited so long to find out what happened to Mia and I felt like I needed more from that portion of the storyline. OTHERWISE, this was perfection. Duet narration was immaculate and ANYTHING Shane East does, I am here for. 4.75/5 stars.

THIS BOOK WAS EVERYTHINGGGG

I loved this book so much!!! I was so worried that I wasn’t going to like lan because of the previous interactions in other books but the REDEMTIONNNN was so freaking good! I love how he cares for mia and gets her to open up about her past!! Also him learning ASL for her was just so cuteeee!!! This book was just so amazing and when he kept saying “What?” like we were questioning him was one of my fave parts!!! Rina Kent knows how to write so beautifully and i can’t wait to dive into God of Fury!!!!

obsessed with those King men &Landon King is proof

When I tell you I am obsessed with those King men, Landon King is proof!
The audiobook is performed in duet narration by my favourite Brit, the legendary Shane East and one of my favourite Audio Queens: the delectable Mackenzie Cartwright and wow: these two are phenomenal as Landon and Mia. I loved everything about this book and Landon is my number one followed closely by Brandon, and I know I will love Eli too because: those King men are my kryptonite!

Landon is a psychopath, but oh so sophisticated and yes he brings the chaos, but that was before he met his match in his Little Muse: Mia Sokolov who is a perfect balance of sass and loyal to the end: she is someone you want in your corner. She carries a deep trauma that has caused her to be mute. She’s out for vengeance and his name is Landon King, and they are both out to ruin each other, but what they don’t count on is how much they will complete each other. The chase was perfect, Mia didn’t make it easy for him, their banter and dark sarcasm had me chuckling so much.

Landon's endearing nickname for Mia as his 'little muse' added a sweet touch to their relationship. Mia's choice of 'The Devil Lord' in her phone for Landon added a deliciously dark edge to their interactions.
Let's not forget Landon's gestures, like learning sign language for Mia before they were even on civil terms and taking empathy lessons from Brandon, showcase his depth and make him swoon-worthy in every sense with the best redemption arc of all the MMC in this series.

Landon’s inner monologue was EVERYTHING! Don’t even get me started on the banter in the group chats with Remi, Eli and Brandon. Landon is cut from the same cloth as the other delicious King men: Levi, Aiden and of course the OG Jonathan - we get some cameos from all three of these delicious Daddy’s and Shane East absolutely owns them all! His performance was absolutely flawless and I’m always impressed at how he can transition from all those voices so smoothly yet make them all have their own distinct voices - I love him as Remi, Shane’s timing in delivering the funny punchlines is impeccable.

As for Mackenzie, she absolutely owns the Bratva women in this series, along with those gorgeous Elites Queens, and her British accent is amazing. She too is brilliant at transitioning between the voices of all the female characters seamlessly. I’m such a big fan, and I love the chemistry she and Shane have together and when it’s in duet narration, it does feel like listening to an audio play with way more than 2 VO actors performing.

The production quality in this book is stepped up a notch, and that’s a testament to Easthouse Productions and the engineer: they seem to have a proven formula that means you will always have the most clear and crisp audio experience.

Rina’s writing is brilliant and I always devour her stories and what I love most is the equal parts plot and spice in every book, and the spice in this is off the charts. Rina is an expert in making us fall for the anti-hero and I am all about it, especially when she writes Brits. Rina’s men are the ultimate over the top possessive “you’re my property” dominant, “burn the world for you” alphas with a heart of gold but only for their women who are strong and never fail to bring them to their knees and I devour every single one. This is a must listen for fans of dark college romance! All the stars!

Landon grows on you

In the beginning I was a little bummed the book was about yours truly but wow didn't he make an entrance. Loved the narrators and the book.

Out of all of the lords trilogy, this one had to been the most amusing and fun to listen to. You couldn’t help but to laugh at some points as well as blush. Great read!!!

Love love love Landon and Mia

I think this is definitely my favorite book of the four written yet. Part of It is because Shane East was the narrator for Landon, but the book is just good in general. I really love it five stars of all around.

Each book in the series just gets better!

As book 4 of the Legacy of the Gods series, I love that the audio was done in DUET narration as the previous books were not. The narrators did and amazing job bringing Landon and Mia to life as well as sounding age appropriate for the characters. I read the ebook and listened to the audio simultaneously and I loved the greater emotion that comes from hearing the POVs of the characters as well. I will definitely listen to this book again.

Storywise:
First off, I knew from Rina's past books the dark themes involved in these books and its a given that they will trend between the characters throughout each book given the shared storyline of the series. Regardless of whether or not you like the characters or their personalities, this is a story and those characters shape the plot of the story. Rina's writing and attention to details any little clues left in the previous books are amazing in my opinion. I love how the timelines for the 4 currently released books overlap and we are given POVs for different characters at the same point in time.

The group texts in this book are everything!

So far this is my favorite book in the series, but I also have high hopes for Brandon and Niko's book releasing next.
