End of an Era

This was different from what I was expecting, but I loved it all the same. The mystery of what was going on with Ava and how and why Eli was pulling the strings was really fascinating and while I wish we got more of these two truly together, it was a great story.

Our little social butterfly was a hot mess, more than I ever suspected. She was addicted to alcohol and did too many drugs, all while dealing with some debilitating mental health issues. My heart broke so many times for her while she thought about her future and what it all meant...

Eli was amazing and quite insane. I loved how obsessed he was and loved watching his restraint snap with Ava. But my favorite was how sweet he was with her in the end. I really wish we got more of it because *sobs*

The audio was amazing. Shane East did an incredible job narrating the guys and Zara Hampton-Brown was amazing for the ladies. This was such a fantastic listen.

She nailed it once again. The angst was *chef’s kiss*! Perfection. Great story, great narration. Good from beginning to end.

Everything I Wanted And More!!

5 stars isn't enough, I wish I could give more! God of Malice has remained my favorite in the God of Legacy series (even though I've loved every single book), but God of War is really pushing for the top spot! Given my love for Silver and Cole, I just knew that Ava's book would be something I adored. All the teasers before the release that Rina posted, and all the mentions throughout the legacy series only made it more clear. And rina absolutely delivered!!! Ava and Eli's story is so intense, and I can deeply relate to Ava's struggles from my own mental health struggles. Seeing Eli love her in her entirety was so beautiful. And while I'd consider this book not quite as spicy (in terms of k*nk at least) as some of the others, the spicy scenes delivered so much raw emotion. I'll definitely be reading this book more than once.

Also, I always love these voice actors but in this one I really feel like they went above and beyond - there was so much heart in their performances!
