In one of Phil Mason's many revelations, you'll learn that Communist jets were two minutes away from opening fire on American planes during the Cuban missile crisis, when they had to turn back as they were running out of fuel. Gut: The Inside Story is an entertaining, informative tour of the digestive system from the moment we raise a tasty morsel to our lips until the moment our body surrenders the remnants to the toilet bowl. No topic is too lowly for the author's wonder and admiration, from the careful choreography of breaking wind to the precise internal communication required for a cleansing vomit.

Time to go gardening!
I honestly had no idea there was this much to gardening. I appreciated the layout, especially when McCloud separated how to garden by style instead of vegetable. I found it way more useful to hear how to garden in certain styles, either in- ground, above- ground, or in pots and then what plants grow best in those styles, not the other way around. And the recipes at the end are delectably mouth- watering! Can't wait to try it all!

Helped me get my first vegetable garden going!
I really loved this audio book. It gave me tons of ideas for growing my own garden and then it walks you through the steps of what to do. The narrator is excellent and it was fun to take notes and make a plan. My garden was easily created and it was fun to collect all the seeds and plant them. I plan on juicing a lot of the vegetables. It was a lot easier than I thought it would be and I am super excited to see the end results. I can see the beginning sprouts now and it is fun to check the progress every few days. Highly recommended!

terrible
this book says that it helps you grow organic vegetables; yet, it advances to use pesticides, herbicides, insecticides and more. This is not organic at all. i do not recommend this book, if you want to grow your own organic vegetables.

False Title - Not Organic
Would you try another book from Ace McCloud and/or Joshua Mackey?
No
What could Ace McCloud have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?
Continued to talk about organic gardening and not switched to non-organic methods mid the book.
How could the performance have been better?
As above
What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?
Anger
Any additional comments?
This book has the word "Organic" in the title but once you get to the sections on weed control it starts telling the reader how to use techniques that are not only non-organic, they are so destructive to the environment and the body that they should be banned. He even talks about using herbicides. Up until that point I was quite happy with the book and would have rated it at least 4 stars if not for this.
