I tremendously liked this book. The characters kept me engaged, and the story didn’t let up. I highly recommend reading this book. I can’t wait for the next one!

Carl’s father and mother were killed, and he went to live with his uncle who was one of the richest men in Germany, He was allied with Hitler, Himmler, and the rest of the top echelons
The big challenge is that he fell in love with a Jewish girl whose father was a prominent Doctor in Berlin. They grew up and thought they would spend the rest of their lives together and have little children running around. But Himmler came to Carl after being in America and told him he was to marry Christine Gilliam. Her father financed Hitler at the beginning of the war and is embarking on a new project to carry forward the experiments of genetics and fertilization. But he must marry Christine, Maurice’s daughter, and go to the island that Maurice built. One of these islands holds the new hospital for fertilization and reproduction.

5.0 out of 5 stars, Very realistic in medical procedures
Reviewed in the United States on September 17, 2022, Terrific book. Extremely exciting, not knowing where it is going. The characters are very strong and the medical aspect is so real

In spite of his loyalty to Ericka Steinberg, Carl had to leave her. He was really going to help the Jewish people. They started bringing over the victims of Mengele from Ravensbruck and Auschwitz concentration camps as the war was ending. They were all pregnant, but there was a rumor that Mengele in his haste to finish the project gave the girls to many hormones with devastating results. Ericka goes from Tel Aviv back to Germany to retrieve her comrades where she was also imprisoned and bring them back to Gilliam. But once Ericka is at the island, Carl talks her into staying, he still wants to be part of her life.

Carl marries Christine on the island and discovers what is going on with the private patients and the girls from Europe, the experiments were continuing from the doctors that were brought over from Germany. They wanted to develop a new, beautiful Aryan child that would be highly intelligent. They wanted to build a new Reich that was much more directed towards science and the future. They had plans of infiltrating America and taking control. Christine Gilliam Unger is here to help them accomplish their goals and Carl Unger is to stop the proliferation of Nazi theology and the Nazi’s as a whole.
The United States was incredibly involved in the exodus of Nazi war criminals to South America and Argentina. They helped them escape to avoid justice and imprisonment and allowed them to continue their work for the Reich. A new society was being established. And it was up to Carl Unger to intercede.
