The corner market stocked with organic foods. The bakery with fresh coffee and Wi-Fi. The stately homes on shaded, gently winding streets. The water park where children splash, laugh, and run.

The first incident is dismissed as an aberration: a college student goes berserk and hacks his family to chunks with a machete. Mark Deacon, an ex-cop and chief of South Haven’s private security force, has never seen anything like it. And it’s about to get a whole lot worse. Within 24 hours, South Haven is declared a quarantine zone, with every entrance barricaded and military snipers positioned outside the perimeter with orders to shoot on sight.

Fearful residents huddle inside, uncertain whom to trust, anxiously watching one another for clues of where the terror might strike next. Together with Dr. Hannah Bailey, a brilliant CDC scientist dispatched to investigate the threat, Deacon teams up with a motley crew of neighbors, and they hatch a desperate plan to find out answers and stay alive.

But the spreading menace might not have arrived by accident...

great book

Got this book because of the author. Didnt know what to expect but from the first page, i was hooked. This is so good with just the right amount of gore, and suspense.

Thrilling!

This book had me on the edge of my seat the entire time. I love the depth of the characters and the vividness of the story.

So much going on

If you like those cheesy SyFy movies with B list actors and predictable endings, this is for you.

To the author: were you rushed into writing this? Did you need to fulfill a quota so this is the result? Was this just something you thought you'd try your hand at?

Lot of buildup that ultimately went nowhere

Good premise. Very Unsatisfying explanation and ending.
Started strong, was excited for where I thought it might take me. But didn’t go anywhere. End was not strong at all,

WORST Narrator EVER

I dragged myself through 52% of this book for my Bookclub. I just couldn’t finish!!! The narrator read the book like it was one long run on sentence! His female voices were horrific to listen to. Would NEVER list to another book narrated by him. The story was kinda decent but just RUINED by the narrator.

Edge. Of. Seat.

Have you ever watched that movie Vantage Point? You have like nine people all experiencing the same event but differently? Imagine that meets World War Z. And I loved it. I was here for every heart thumping moment. The crew that links to become family. Those willing to sacrifice their lives for the greater good. The nemesis or villain that does not stop! I love a good horror story where black folks not only survive but they thrive! If this becomes a series…I AM HERE FOR IT!!!

This should be a movie!

A great thriller! Great characters and suspense! The narrator told the story with great skill. Had me riveted. A very good audio book! Highly recommended!

A well-written suspense thriller that will keep you on the edge of your seat. Frenzied should become a blockbuster movie.

Mr. Massey has done it again! I was on the edge of my seat from beginning to end!
