Corporate space wars

These books have many spaceships, crews and corporations, working with and against each other. You may need notes. If that sounds good, then this will be a good series for you.

I'm rating this based on how well the series delivers on First Command, going into the minds of one captain after another, solving the problems faced by the spacecraft. Unfortunately, for me, it felt like I was getting acquainted with one chess piece after another, without ever getting a grasp on the full chessboard. When I revisit this series, I'll need to take better notes. Perhaps a cheat sheet could have helped me.

got through thr first 2 books so far

i recived a review copy of this book. it was good so far, an epic military idea with the use of corporations in the future. it was well read by the narratitor.

No COB

Well I love the Box set I have to admit I wouldn't have read a single one were it not a Box set. Now I'm interested in this story. However being the military side fi and prior military myself , I am astounded at the stories never including a sufficient representation of the Senior enlisted ranks. For example captain Thatcher would have done magnificently well had he a senior chief To lean on.

uninspired and forgettable

highly generic and uninspiring, you could dose through several minutes of the book and not miss anything important, you can forget details and still won't affect the story. Rather childish but trying to be mature. Not too impressed

Don’t waist your money!!

Main caricatures is supposed to be the best tactician but is a complete idiot!! Narrator is good but the story lacks everything!!

Leaves me wanting more!

I received a free download code for this and listened to it straight through. The story sucked me in and the narration by Mark Boyett couldn’t be more perfect. Looking forward to more.

A Star Trek type military sci-fiwheb

Interesting how the captain gets inspiration from common things within the ship’s bridge on a daily basis

imersive story!! well worth it!!

good character build, plenty of in depth encounters driving an ever deepening story line that leaves you wanting to inhale more and more!!!

the use of the term Corp's (I'm guessing the spelling), sounds far too much like corpse. it distracts from the story.
