Publisher's Summary

Even supervillains have lines they dare not cross. If only the same could be said of heroes....

For more than two decades, the sight of Doctor Fid's powered armor has struck terror into the hearts of hero and civilian alike. But when a personal tragedy motivates Doctor Fid to investigate a crime, a plot is uncovered so horrific that even he is taken aback. Haunted by painful memories and profound guilt, the veteran supervillain must race against time if he is to have any hope of confronting the approaching threat. Every battle takes its toll...but the stakes are too high for retreat to be an option.

Listen to the supervillainous action-thriller that critics have called "immediately engaging", "ridiculously fun", and "a solid foundation for a new series!"

A great start to an Epic new series!

First I loved this book!
The narrator started out as an unknown factor for me but he embodies Dr. Fids personality perfectly.
The story and dialogue are well written, witty and engaging with a full helping of devious and diabolical fun. The characters feel real and develop well. The Dr. is a villain you will love to love and root for. His plans are well thought out and devious and he is the hero we deserve. This is a great start to a serious that is sure to be a new favorite. I can't wait for the next book.

Excellent story! The sequel will be my next book!

Incredible narration, but it took me a little while to get the rhythm, not because George Napier was reading it poorly, but because he captured Dr. Fid's detached emotional state so well. He really added to my understanding of his psyche. His character growth was believable and brought a vulnerability to one of the most powerful beings in this reality. We need more of this!

Great book, mediocre reading.

'Strength' contains a 'g'. It is not silent. I found the reader's characters' voices insufficiently different from one another.

I never had any trouble understanding what was said.

Very well done

Story is very well done. Narrator isn't the best but with the exception of some long pauses that made me think the book was paused, completely proficient.

Can't wait for the next one.

The Worst Book Ever

This book was poorly written. It just did not come together. The read was horrible, probably because the story was not well written. Don’t buy! Don’t listen! Stay away from this book. I was very disappointed.
