Like Listening to Stories Around a Campfire

A young boy meets an older gentleman who knows quite a bit about the local town...mysterious things he shouldn't know. The stories are surprising and completely engaging. Great character development and a very creative descriptive style. Highly entertaining.

The narrator has a soft voice which just adds to the feel of this book. It's haunting... I'll probably listen to this more than once because the stories are so well crafted and so original. Really, an unexpected gem.

An interesting assortment of stories

Ubiquitous, perhaps; a melange of shorts, flash, and even a little poetry. An overall good listen.
