Connie, an overweight and unhappy wife, turns to Darryl for help losing weight, hoping to try and fix her crumbling marriage. But when Darryl starts making Connie feel beautiful again, she questions whether or not her marriage is worth saving. Benny, a spoiled teenager, looks up to Darryl as a role model. When an unexpected event occurs, Benny is left questioning everything he's ever known. Krystal, Darryl's first love, wants to make things work with her current boyfriend. Yet having Darryl back in her life sends her happy home spiraling out of control. And, last but not least, Avery, Connie's husband, doesn't care about anyone or anything when a financial opportunity comes his way - that is, until he notices how much time his wife is spending with their new neighbor.

I loved the overall story

Would you listen to The Man in 3B again? Why?

I've listened to the novel three times. I love the main character, The Man in 3B, Daryl, and I like Connie. There were characters I hated and some I felt sorry for just like in life. I wanted to find out what actually happened. I found the mystery intriguing. This is my first Carl Weber novel and honestly his dialogue is a bit harsh for me but it seems so real for the world he writes about.<br/>I've just downloaded another of his novels because I thoroughly enjoyed this one.

What did you like best about this story?

The revenge aspect. I love a story where the person who does the dirty deed gets what's coming to them.

Which scene was your favorite?

Avery calling Cain

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

No, I prefer to spread my listening over a few days no matter how much I like the book

Any additional comments?

Don't care for so many narrators

Fair

I struggled to finish the book. The plot was too predictable. I have enjoyed the Family Business series but this book wasn't the best.

I re-read this book to brush up the story line and get ready for the upcoming movie. Again I loved it! Can't wait for it to come to life on screen. 👍😌
