Despite or in spite my title I highly recommend this book. I think the ending was a bit of a stretch. That big scene was too much to believe in a true HEA. However, the book was funny, sexy, and a tear jerker at times. Definitely a good listen to

Opposites Do Attract
Every time I read this story it gets better. There’s part of a poem I think that says if you love something set it free, if it comes back it’s yours. If it doesn’t it never was. Juvenile? Maybe, but fitting in this case. Eli and Gwen were searching and could have ended up settling for lives with partners that would not have been as great as the life they have together, with the love they share. In the end, Eli learns Gwen’s the love of his life. Gwen sets out on a journey that can only lead one place, to Eli. Good read. Worth a sequel!
JJ’s flair for romance is unmatched.

Not bad
Would you consider the audio edition of That Thing Between Eli and Gwen to be better than the print version?

She came back I didn't like the baby part I didn't like the person that died in the book very sad very moving though show that the doctors can do both so much sorry for the all of his lost very heartbreaking. If there's a two I hope at some kind of twist and changes the baby part.

Great Story

Discovered a new favorite
This is a story based on a theme seen often before. A couple thrown together over a mutual heartache, then the enemies to lovers theme takes over, followed by several hurdles they overcame toward their own ending.
However J. J. McAvoy has a writing style that lifts the story from normal to extraordinary. This is not just a tale, with all of the other Romance / steamy sex themes, but actual thought provoking prose that gives you “ all the feels”.
The narration was excellent which just makes it an even better experience well worth a credit.

Slow start
The beginning was hard to focus on cause I was bored but towards the end it started getting interesting then unfortunately it was over. Over all good book
