Publisher's summary

#1 New York Times best-selling author Abbi Glines concludes the irresistible story of Woods and Della that began with Twisted Perfection.

Woods had his perfect life mapped out for him. Rise up the ranks of the family business. Marry the rich girl of his parents’ dreams. Pretend that wealth and privilege was all he’d ever wanted. Then a girl named Della breezed into town, a beautifully imperfect stranger who captured his heart and opened his eyes to a new kind of future. Woods is ready and willing to sacrifice everything for her when the sudden death of his father leaves him with his mother to care for and a business to manage.

Della is determined to be strong for Woods, even as she’s quietly falling to pieces. No matter how far from home she’s run, the ghosts of her past have never stopped haunting her. Struggling to hide her true feelings from Woods, Della fears she can’t be his rock without dragging him down into the darkness with her. But is she strong enough to let go of the last thing holding her together?

so slow; dual narration irritating

What disappointed you about Simple Perfection?

characters not built very well in advance. If you haven't read previous books in series you might be totally lost in beginning.

Did the narration match the pace of the story?

Narration was too choppy - going from female to male voice; it was hard to envision characters the same way from chapter to chapter

NOTHING SIMPLE HERE, RATHER DAM COMPLICATED!!!

Sweet Della and Woods love story continues as Woods takes over Kerrington Country Club and his family's estates at the death of his father. Although Woods and Della love each other with an unbreakable passion, this chapter (and final book about their love story) chronicles many barriers they must hurdle in order to achieve their much deserved HEA.

I loved it when Woods and Della worked together, as Della took on the position of his assistant. Their chemistry is hot and their romance is very sweet and tender. Can't believe they were actually productive during work hours with all of that office sex! LOL....

Angelina was around a bit, but Woods takes care of her soon enough (well, we should say Blair scared her off...what a badass...LOL). Yet, Della has some very strong issues to resolve from her past that greatly impact this relationship. One of the hardest parts of the book was when Della and Woods go through a challenge that really hurts, as they both suffer. However, that time is not wasted as Della learns so much from her past and grows personally while conquering her fears. The reunion between Woods and Della was fabulous, hot and breathtaking. They seem to heal one another and need each other in a way that is definitely a "forever" type of love. There are many surprises that arise from Della's past that fit very well into the cementing of this relationship between Woods and Della. What can I say, the love between Della and Woods is just meant to be!

I enjoyed being exposed to the lives of the Rosemary gang and to follow up with everyone. However, there is a tragedy that is so severe and impacting that at that point I wanted to say, CUT--STOP RIGHT THERE--RE-WRITE!!!! Seriously, this tragedy overshadowed the romance and will extend that shadow on the rest of this series. This tragedy turned a fun, sexy series into a sad drama for me. Another downer, is that Grant and Harlow's book is next and already you get the sense of what a screwed up, angsty love story they're going to experience. Mainly, Grant's love story is going to be annoying because the witch, Nan is going to be ever present.....I seriously hate that woman. It's going to increase my blood pressures hearing about her continue to reap havoc with, yet, another couple. I'm not going to come near "Take a Chance" until the second one is released, if I decide to proceed with this series. Right now, I'm rather disappointed.....

Narrators: Sabastian was a dream and Elizabeth did also did well. Overall, a great audio performance.

WELL, I'M TAKING A BREAK FROM THIS SERIES ON A DOWNER...Unfortunately.

Terrible

What would have made Simple Perfection better?

I could not even make it into an hour of this book. The ridiculous characters and their crazy neediness was overwhelming. Hated it.
