Publisher's summary

Sile is a stylish citizen of the new Dublin, a veteran flight attendant who's traveled the world. Jude is a 25-year-old archivist, stubbornly attached to the tiny town of Ireland, Ontario, in which she was born and raised. On her first plane trip, Jude's and Sile's worlds touch and snag at Heathrow Airport. In the course of the next year, their lives, and those of their friends and families, will be drawn into a new, shaky orbit.

Exceptionally layered, and beautiful

LGBTQ rom com with a historical perspective. I loved “Kicker’s Journey” rom com about Canada, and immigration during the 1800. This Rom Com was modern complicated and fascinating love story that weaved in the modern and historical story of immigration to Canada. A well structured story with excellent narration and well written, complicated characters and underlying historical theme. 5 stars for being enjoyable, well plotted and educational. May need a second part.

Good to the last sentence.

The author spins a great tale of modern life of lesbians with style and grace. I kept listening to see how the couple would end up and was about ready to throw my Ipod against a wall when all looked like disaster. But the ending worked and I felt satisfied. A great listen.

Interesting

I loved the ending but it took me about 3 months just to get there. The story just kind of dragged on and I could not stand Jude. As a 26 yr old woman myself there is zero chance Jude wouldn’t have a cellphone or act how she does towards any type of technology. She’s very selfish and hard headed and she just was not my cup of tea

Abrupt ending...wanted more detail

At times I stopped and went to another book because it seemed long winded and was not keeping my interest. But I did finish and it was good but many unsettled issues. Sile having many different issues with friends and family made it feel uncomfortable at the end. Jude wasn’t much better. It was fine for a free book.

what the heck!?!

good story but the ending was abrupt and seemed unfinished. I couldn't have been more disappointed after investing time to listen as well as paying for the dang book.

Most entertaining

Laugh out loud funny. Donoghue has won me over, with Landing. I didn’t want the story to end.

I wanted to like this book

I just could not get into this book. While the characters have some interesting things qualities and I love the lilt of an accent, this book just wasn’t for me.

A Struggle to Finish

I didn’t like the story at all.
It was a struggle to finish but I kept hoping it would get better.
Don’t waste a credit.
