Publisher's Summary

When there’s nothing left except a choice between war or death, there’s really no choice.

From New York Times best-selling author Wahida Clark comes the highly anticipated next installment in the Thug series. Fans will rush to this latest installment, while new listeners will be eager to discover Wahida Clark’s unmatched melodrama.

Following the action of Justify My Thug, the story rejoins the saga’s favorite couple, Tasha and Trae, as they try to make their marriage work in the midst of innumerable troubles: a murdered son, shattered bonds, forbidden affairs, deception, blackmail, hate, love, lust, corruption, friends torn apart by treachery, and the threat of going up against one of the most sophisticated and deadliest Chinese crime organizations. In the torrid world of sex, drugs, and crime, Wahida Clark continues the definitive hip-hop soap opera that fans have come to love.

Pretty good

I thought this book was decent but it definitely left you hanging at the end. What's gonna happen with Trea and Tasha.

WASN'T MY FAVORITE BOOK OF THE SERIES.

If you could sum up Honor Thy Thug in three words, what would they be?

A Lot happening.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Honor Thy Thug?

Geez the whole book had a lot of things going on but I suppose, when little Fa was killed.

Which character – as performed by Cary Hite – was your favorite?

I am a HUGE fan of Cary Hite. He does and excellent job with all of the charaters.

Who was the most memorable character of Honor Thy Thug and why?

Gosh I guess Trae and Tasha and their never ending drama.

Explosive and Realistic

OMG, full of drama. I listened to the Audible edition and Cary cut the hell out on the mic. From the rip, the book started with guns blazing and a kid being shot. It was full steam ahead with strategizing to get revenge. A key character found her way back, and someone's happy home gets weird. Someone's grandmother had been neglected and that pissed me off to no end. I have two living grandmas and I would give up my life for theirs and I would never leave them to fend for themselves. Neither did the character here when she found out, but the rest of her family is trifling. The family life and the ability to ride with your family no matter was laced all in this piece. Cheating can really, NO REALLY, go wrong and it did. There are so many elements that are weaved together so nicely that I tried to not get to the end of the book.

Reader Cary Hite was stellar as usual.

Wahida knows her street stuff. The prose was never banal and the characterization was excellent, hammering home the importance of dramatic tension. The very small things were done right and now I am ready for SEVEN, the next installment in the series.
