Publisher's summary

You've seen them in print before, and their books are hot, hot, hot! Now see what Edd McNair, Keisha Ervin, and Brenda Hampton can do when they join forces to bring you three stories in the latest installment of Girls from da Hood.

Being married to notorious gangsta rapper Sean Pynn isn't as glamorous as it appears to be. Behind closed doors, Queen is dealing with knock-down drag-out fights, verbal abuse, and neglect. When her bodyguard, Ahsim, comes into the picture, things change in a hurry.

When a man thinks his woman is cheating, he keeps tabs on her. When a woman thinks her man is cheating, she calls Jakki. Rochel "Jakki" Thomas' way of catching a man in the act is a little risky, but she's worth every penny.

Niecy Brickhouse and her twin sister Naquel are living the glamorous life - until Naquel is shot by their older sister's boyfriend. Everyone is calling it a suicide, but Niecy knows the painful truth about her sister's death, and it sets her on a dangerous, self-destructive path. Will she be able to overcome her depression, or will her new life on the streets be the death of Niecy?

story sound the same as all the others

I wish set the direction of the story went in a different way I read every single chapter up to this one and some were very good but as I kept reading they all just sound the same they have the same story lines someone is a prostitute someone has been raped drug dealer Proverbs is all the same girls killing men for money this one by far was the boringness chapter and it should be I guess it's coming to the end

The good and the bad

I'll start with the bad... Sometimes, I was distracted by the narrator's voice. The Southern accent throws me off. I don't know if that is just her accent or if she is putting it on for the character because it does not always sound bad. These are black girls from the hood, and her voice sometimes did not match that. I live in Virginia, and they don't sound like that here. I did enjoy all of the stories. They had me on edge and hopeful for the ladies as they hustled through life. That last story was CRAZY!! From the beginning to the end, I felt a way. She had been through so much in life. Great job overall!

Ummmm I don't want to be mean

First story definitely reminiscent of Biggie and Tupac and Faith lol
Second story was alright. Nothing exciting
Third story is every typical story
I guess they all tried But I would suggest trying harder.

The narrators voice

The second book was good. The only drawback was the narrators voice I tried with all my heart to get with it but it was the one thing that changed the stories in a horrible way.
