Sidra Lyons has it all; a great family, a wonderful life and a new relationship with an amazing man. Life for her is pure bliss and she doesn't think God could bless her any better if He tried.
When the father she's had little contact with over the last 30 years shows up and announces he has a daughter from a previous relationship (a relationship he had while married to her mother), Sidra's life begins to make some interesting turns.
The sisters embark on a journey of love and self discovery. Will they be able to look past their differences and form a real family? Only time will tell.
I love the series, but the women who was speaking made this story almost unbearable. Her "southern" accent was killing me softly. It's not get fault I guess, but I always understood the main characters to be African American and she wasn't doing them any justice.

This book has been on my "To Read" list forever. I finally decided to listen to the audio version. While the story line was very good, the narration was very disappointing! The character voices wouldn't have been so bad, but the timing was off and made it difficult to relate to picture the characters. I plan to listen to Book #2, but if the flow od the reader is off, I may not make it to Book #3!
