E L James revisits the world of Fifty Shades with a deeper and darker take on the love story that has enthralled millions of fans around the globe.
Their scorching, sensual affair ended in heartbreak and recrimination, but Christian Grey cannot get Anastasia Steele out of his mind, or his blood. Determined to win her back, he tries to suppress his darkest desires and his need for complete control, and to love Ana on her own terms.
But the horrors of his childhood still haunt him, and Ana's scheming boss, Jack Hyde, clearly wants her for himself. Can Christian's confidant and therapist, Dr. Flynn, help him face down his demons? Or will the possessiveness of Elena, his seducer, and the deranged devotion of Leila, his former submissive, drag Christian down into the past?
And if Christian does win Ana back, can a man so dark and damaged ever hope to keep her?
I really enjoyed listening to this book. Hearing the story from Christian’s point of view made the story really interesting. Looking forward to hearing the last instalment.

It's my first time listening to an audiobook and I was wondering if Anna's voice could actually be replaced with an actual girl's voice because while I was listening this whole time, whenever Anna's talking, it feels like Christian is talking to a man and it's so hilarious to me. Nothing wrong with it, just made some intense scene a little funnier than intended. Overall, the storyline is great. Highly recommended!
I loved the original story and love his story just as much, can't wait for the last book
Seriously I feel robbed, I’m sure my review will be disliked by many but let’s be real for a moment.
Grey was a book released as told by Christian, this was pretty much the same with a touch more storyline into other relationships in his life eg: his personal assistant, trainer
(I MEAN COME ON).
And if that isn’t a slap in the face for fans of FSOG it ends at the proposal, 17hrs and it just end at that.
His view on the kidnaping and married life, the birth of his child would have been wonderful inclusions in this book. But come to think of it that was in the book Grey.
I’m a massive fan of this series, I’ve read all the books and own all the audiobooks and have watched both the movies released so far, and I’ll be going to see the next one when released.
So this was very difficult for me to write, but if your going to leave a review it must be an honest review.
As far as the narrative goes loved it, I think the voice of the grandfather is one of my favorites.
Well rounded performance by Zachary Webber

struggle to finish the book cpuld not grab my attention.really dissapointed I wont read it again.
I think the narrator makes this book, the film.was such a let down, he plays the part to the tea x
Will the next book be done from Christians point of view have loved the first 2!! Xx
What made the experience of listening to Darker the most enjoyable?
I loved hearing the story from Christians side and the added extra scenes you don't get from the first book
What did you like best about this story?
just loved having Christians side loved hearing what he was thinking all the way through. Also the crash was great to hear what happened and how they got back. Also at the end when Christians mother finds out about him and Mrs Robinson and the conversation we didn't get to hear when Anna left the room.
Which character – as performed by Zachary Webber – was your favourite?
Christian all the way he just became Christian
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
I would of loved to but not possible had to slow down and get some housework done between listening.
Any additional comments?
I so hope they do Freed as well I so need to listen to the end of the story.
loved this book can not wait for the next and last one ,excellent read ,it was nice to here what Christian thoughts were.
the story telling was brilliant. he read it just perfect. can not wait for more.
thought i would give audible a try. i love reading so was dubious about a talking book but i loved it. definately a convert. narrator was good and easy to listen to.
I was a bit suspect to the new 50 shades books. But they do add a dimension that you don’t get in the original trilogy.
Well worth a listen too!
BETTER THAN THE FEMALE VERISON Cant wait till the next book THE LAST IN THE SERIES

loved this book. great hearing Grey side of the story. off you liked 50 Shades you will love this too.
I have all the Books and audios of this Series. It is so good to hear Christian side of this beautiful Love Story.
Great performance from narrator. Intriguing story from the view of Christian Grey. Cant get enough of Anastasia and Christian.
Love Darker Christian’s POV just wish I’d brought the hardcover instead of audio cos narrator wasn’t very believable
To hear this story from Christian’s perspective was enlightening. To hear what he was thinking and feeling was so much more enjoyable. Such a tortured man but such a lovable man. By far Grey and now Darker are the books in the series that I like the most!
