Publisher's summary

The Sunday Times best seller is back, with his biggest adventure yet. The perfect listen for fans of James Bowen.

As the residents of Edgar Road know, Alfie is no ordinary cat. Since his arrival in the street, he's made every house his home, helping this group of neighbours to become friends for life.

But now there's a new cat on Alfie's turf - a tiny ball of fur called George. With no home to call his own, this little kitten is in desperate need. And little does Alfie know that they've got quite an adventure ahead of them to get him through this most difficult of times....

A heart-warming story that's impossible not to love. Alfie is back and more adventurous than ever!

Chic Lit, not Kit Lit

Our Life through a Cat’s POV

My last completed •audiobook• for 2017.

This was my first book in the Alfir series. It was okay, in the sense the series seemed to be stand alone books.

I went into this book expecting more of a cat adventure. Instead, it was 80% of Alfie’s observances of three couples and their problems, problems, and divorce.

The main feline adventure was Alfie’s family adopted a new kitten who Alfie takes under his paw with love and adoration. And it seems like there’s a catnapper on the prowl. A lot of cute sequences - validated that my two kittens are as normal as storybooks ones!

The narrator was exceptionally expressive and lively, giving the audiobook a higher rating.

I really really meant to download the holiday Alfie book and am uncertain if I should get it ...
the triple couple drama made this feel more of a chic lit than a kit lit.
