Great medieval action!

This novel has plenty of action mixed with a bit of romance and political intrigue. The plot centres on the titular feud between two noble families against the backdrop of the Wars of the Roses.

There are truly vile villains and heroes who face their enemies with bravery and self-doubt. Edmund Radcliffe is an utterly evil creation.

The heroines are well-developed and respond to their circumstances in very different ways. The author clearly demonstrates that these poor women live in a man's world. For all that, they have their strength and fight for their freedom and happiness.

The author writes his action and his characters well and I expect to read on in this series.

Mike Rogers is a very effective and professional narrator.

a solid historical fiction story

If you're interested in the war of the roses, this is a solid historical fiction book that takes place at that time. I believe there's two books in the series after this one and I'll definitely be reading those.

The narrator was really good and I enjoyed his style.

16 hrs on the edge of your seat!

If you just picked up this book, or you're about to do so, keep this in mind... Relaxing? No! This is a 16 hour dose of non-stop action and suspense, straight from known history.

This book offers a very plausible glimpse into the lives of the people who lived and died during England’s most turbulent times or what has become known as the War of the Roses. As a devotee of Historical Fiction, this one hit the spot even though at times the endless string of “unfortunate events” that seem to hit our protagonists get to be a little bit too much. The battles and other major events so vividly described in the book are historical facts as well as the many historical figures that appear. The fictional characters have been delicately woven into the story and who is to say that they’re not founded in real persons… who knows?

Overall, this is a very enjoyable book and I eagerly await the other three books in the series to become available on Audible.

Wars of the Roses

Absolutely love this series. I just wish the releases came a little quicker. .3 years between releases is unacceptable, especially when the books are already written and published. Reminds me of the Conn Iggulden's Wars of the Roses series and Toby Clements Kingmaker Series but better.

Loved the book! Wish they would put the whole series out all at once. Constant action! Both author and narrator are brilliant!

Loved it!

I love how this was written, the action was immediate and captivating. Very well written plot and characters. But it was the narrator that made this one unforgettable. I both made the text very understandable and made you feel like you were standing right there as the action happened. Narrator really brought the whole thing to life!
