Pretty good but not great

This book was pretty good but it was not great. I enjoyed it. It was not very exciting

No rest for the weary

It is amazing how this guy has to go through all this and still can't get a peaceful life. I mean, I know it's supposed to be an adventure, but that is too much doom and gloom. Will not deny it is an amazing series.

Very good

I was afraid that the series would start failing since the MC hit the doom limiter in the last book and nothing really happened. Instead, the author created a new apocalypse counter and I was wondering if that would mean nothing as well. The MC was already way OP and that was the limiter. The author still dodges around playing at the edges of his character just doing anything without consequence, but this book put a real consequence in place for the MC if he doesn't keep things in check. The author has rolled out two new main challenges that I'm sure we will see in the next book(s). This has been a good series and I've enjoyed it. I'll definitely get the next book soon.

In this one Jon and Ellie's animals do a lot of grooming and maturing, I enjoyed seeing that progress.

As with all the battle mage farmer books Seth spends a lot of time with his character building and causes you to really care about each character and that's what drew me into the books to begin with. his world building is excellent and each book has its own adventure and they never repeat themselves. I was a little iffy at first about lrpg novels but after reading the first one I'm hooked.

Depressing & Frustrating now with torture

MC has power but can’t use it the whole series.
Complete dystopian series. 10 bad things happen to 1 good. Horrible explicit cliffhanger that made no sense.

Good but

I enjoyed the majority of this book but feels like John is ok with his people dieing he could wipe out the whole army by himself in a instant probably but yet he’s scared of killing clones and mages trying to kill him and his people and also it’s clear who the villains are immediately it was stupid of John to trust mages who clearly were lieing and are slavers and the cloned bugs were just so happened to be on the way to there tower and 2 of the sages who were supposedly away from there tower for a few days travel 🙄🤔 It doesn’t ruin the series but come on give me a twist I can’t see
