Amazing, Spicy, plot twist filled, emotional wild Ride

4🌶️. This book is long and I enjoyed every minute of it! The twists and turns of the story keep you intrigued and guessing. Even if you guess some of the twists you can’t catch them all. This was a beautiful story and unlike anything I have read before. The male narrator had an interesting voice that didn’t totally match my idea of the character but I still enjoyed the audio. The ending seemed a bit rushed and one ploy point left open made me search for a book 2. So I think the pacing and thoroughness of the ending kept me from giving it 5 stars.

Unique story at first but lost interest half way through as it became very predictable.

Great suspenseful storyline! Excellent narration!!

The storyline had me constantly wanting to jump to the end and find out what the heck was going to happen...but I don't do that, so I didn't. The 3 timeliness was not difficult to follow, and the characters are very well written. Narration is fantastic. Both narrators do wonderful job of portraying each different character they read. I 100% recommend!

It was a wild ride… in every way!

This was not what I expected and I think it’s a good thing. In a lot of ways the story surprised me and kept me enthralled, even when I felt like I was drowning in the plot. Excellent narrators. Rylee’s and Christian’s capacity to change the listener’s relationship with each character was a pleasant surprise and seamless. Still reeling from this wild ride!

Rollercoaster

The story felt all over the place but was easy to follow. I think listening and hearing the different accents help keep storyline straight but I felt like there was twist after twist. Some spicy content that has some taboo times! Only complaint was male narrator spoke too softly compared to the female and it made it difficult to hear when not utilizing ear bud. Performance good just need some audio tweaks. Overall a good story, interesting how it all played out.

Never boring

This was my sole entertainment during a recent hospital stay, and it did the job very well. The female narrator's voice wasn't my favorite (sort of prissy/precise), but she did a great job switching it up for multiple characters. I had a lot of fun trying to figure out/predict some twists, and enjoyed the plot a great deal. If you like supernatural steaminess as much as I do (quite a bit), this is an excellent choice.

Very entertaining

Great story, Kept me listening. Loved the narrators performance. Liked the deep male voice and loved the female narrator. So happy this was duet. Really made the story come alive. Really enjoyed this audiobook!

Great journey for romantasy girlies

I love a good mystery and this one was so elaborately done. Really execited to read more for this author. As someone who needs to be in the middle of an audio book at all times this tale was long and interesting the entire listen. I am not as affected by triggers so please keep that in mind. Lots of trauma here so be warned but masterfully written in my opinon.

The BEST audiobook I’ve listened to in a LONG time!

These narrators knocked this massive book out of the park. Normally I speed up the narration of audiobooks because I’m also following along with the ebook and don’t need it to be at a slower speed. But man… 1.6x speed on this audiobook was the sweet spot for me. Christian Gilliand is so underrated and I hope this audiobook will get him the praise he deserves. Often male narrators have too deep of a voice for me.. or not deep enough. But his voice is so perfect. I would listen to him read his grocery list. The female narrator also did such a great job. They truly brought this book to life. I found myself wishing every audiobook was this good and took my time finishing this because I didn’t want it to end.

The story itself was also so good. It was beautifully written and I enjoyed watching it all come together. In the beginning of the book, the preface tells you that this is NOT the book to skim over anything and Lancet wasn’t lying!! You need to be 100% invested in the story or you will miss important information. It took me about 4 days to finish this when a book this size would normally take me 2-3 days. I still enjoyed every minute of it and cannot wait to read more of her books!
