A good surprise….

I was pleasantly surprised how good the story turned out to be. If I was writing a story, I think it would go something like this only because my trainer tend to align with the author on how a zombie apocalypse should go. Now with that said, the writing could be better and I say that because again it aligns with what I would write in a zombie apocalypse, lol but the storyline is good. The characters are good and camaraderie is good as I said it’s something I would write and I’m not a writer so it’s good for what it is.

Ok but nothing new

This was much like the Zombie Fallout Series, not very serious and very cheeky. A routine survival story about a family caught up in the ZA. Reader was ok.

Loved this

I was very sceptical as it was a zombie thing put in Britain which in my experience means no one in the story knows how to use a gun however this was surprisingly good and not Hollywood -esque in the gun usage. Fun story different twist quite enjoyable.

Typical story but entertaining

It was your usual zombie story but it was good and narrator was very descriptive

Need better narrators

The storyline was pretty good, the development of the characters was pretty well done. but the narrator really killed the story for me. Otherwise pretty good book.

Great story so far

My only complaint is that there are other zombie sources than TWD and it’s brought up quite a few times. Like spread out the z love lol

It had all the clichés

I wasn’t through all of that because I bought the thing and I kinda wish I didn’t, don’t get me wrong. I love zombie books, and I know that some clichés can’t be all written out, but this one was kind of like ex machina all the time and kind of boring if it was written better and had better pacing it would have had a good thing going but it’s like you started on an idea and then stopped midway through because main characters have too stay alive bit, I can’t get mad at the voice actor because he was trying his best to make it sound good but even in certain parts, you could tell that he thought it was a joke. I’m sorry.

Was this supposed to be a joke?

I don’t know if the writer was trying to be funny or not. The writing was very unrealistic and was more fixated on tv shows and movies to be taken serious. It could have been culture shock since the story takes place somewhere in England and all the characters are beyond “British”. It seemed more like a “how to survive a zombie apocalypse” manual or maybe introducing a prepper lifestyle to those who stereotypically are not considered to have that mentality. Each time the “prepper” of the group or one of the characters comes up with another way of surviving, it jarred me out of the story like it was a PowerPoint presentation. I’m sorry but this is not my cup of tea (sorry, I had to do it).

They don’t even get to the castle

Very repetitive. Everyone in England apparently never experienced any zombie media aside from TWD, because the only way any of the characters react to seeing a zombie be killed is “woah! Just like the walking dead!”
