Publisher's Summary

"I dance. Naked. For large (and occasionally insultingly modest) sums of money."

It all started five years ago in Sydney, Australia when she was just 23: "I still wanted to be a traveler, just not a poor one anymore. So I shaved my legs and bush, showed up to the first Google search result that came up for 'gentlemen's club Sydney', got naked for this old fat guy named Jim, and, to my surprise, I liked it. A lot." Stripping is about feeling powerful, sexy, and endlessly curious about how far a dude's kinks will go ('show me your armpits') and how much he is willing to pay for them ($1200). And the money's sexy.

This mega babe knows how to write

She perfectly describes the human experience as if from my own journal but from the unexpected (or maybe to be expected) lens of a sex worker who works it.

Keeps you awake

Great for listening on the long drives home, tired as all get out, at 5 am.

I very much enjoyed this book! And was super happy that jacthestripper was the narrator! Great stories I was sad when it was over!

Highly Recommend!

Jacq is a true performer in so many capacities - comedian, story teller, and of course, professional titty shaker. You’d be a fool to skip on this marvelous memoir of half naked and empowering adventures.

And I thought the paperback was funny!

Artfully written and even more artfully narrated by Jacq herself. It's is often difficult to find memoirs that uplift you while also reminding you that life is turbulent and sometimes unforgiving. I recommend this book to anyone who came here to read up on the enrapturing lives of exotic dancers, but even more so, I recommend it to people who need an honest and hilarious guide on not taking yourself too seriously! Whether you're a dancer, customer, or just a passerby, I highly recommend this audiobook.

I loved every minute of it!

This is my first time ever listening to audio book. I listened to The Beaver Show in just two days.
I love the stories and I love the narration by Jacqueline Frances.
Lately I’ve grown tired of the radio and the same music I’ve been listening to, so instead I’ve been listening to The Beaver Show while commuting to work, washing dishes, and other chores and such around the house.
I thoroughly enjoyed every chapter of this book. I highly recommend it to anyone who’s looking for a fresh, quirky, funny read.
I would describe this book as: intriguing, fascinating, curious, strange, wonderful, heartfelt, shocking, insightful, humorous, contemplative.
A great read for women, feminists, and curious folks. I think men could learn a thing or two from reading (or listening) to this book as well ;)
I never knew much about strippers and sex workers because it’s such a taboo subject, but I find the topic really fascinating. This book in all its glory is really an eye opener for anyone who is curious about sex workers and the lives of world traveling entrepreneurs.
Highly recommended. I would read/listen to The Beaver Show again!!

Loved it.

Some of the funniest stories I've ever heard. I never really thought about all of the things Jacqueline discusses.

Money grubbing cold woman

Annoying diction with a monotone story with a never ending sameness of each story. The story of a woman who is scornful of the men she hates and exploits while she is exploited. Funny thing is the fact she somehow believes she holds the moral high ground. I feel stupider for the experience.
