Publisher's summary

Explore the captivating life of Erik the Red.

A formidable figure with flaming red hair, a wild beard, and a temper to match is not the type of person most people would choose to cross swords with. And that, by all accounts, is a fitting description of Erik the Red. This was not a man to be taken lightly or challenged in battle. He was courageous on the battlefield, an accomplished seafarer, indomitable warrior, and unstoppable adventurer. In short, Erik the Red was everything we imagine a Viking to be.

Wonderful

I will give the fifth star because there are different writing styles, and these distract the focus on the very interesting story of Erik the Red. Otherwise, you have to listen to this AUDIObook.

This is fascinating!

Fascinating how Erik the Red was called as that. I got a good summary here of his discoveries and how he colonized Greenland. While the man was like prone to dangers, it’s amazing how he has turned it all into his benefits.

I dig this!

I dig this book! I listened to it while I was travelling to another town and boy, did I got so interested. Now I know why he is so-called as the controversial Viking. This piece was written with action that I didn’t have a boring moment at all.

inspiring

It's a bit lean on details but it's interesting enough to get me interested in reading more about Erik and his Greenland.

A fulfilling one.

It is with this audiobook that I came to know that as the founder of the first European settlement on Greenland, Erik the Red’s journey hasn’t been that easy. Finishing this book is a fulfilling one.

Nice touch.

This has summarized in detail how Erik the Red became one of the Arctic’s most famous explorers. Will be recommending this to my son as his guide for the paper he’s constructing.

Compelling enough.

This is one perfect biography of the Norwegian Viking, Erik the Red. This serves as a great reminder of how honorable this man was. The book was compelling enough that it feels as if I was travelling with him. LOL!
