Great series

I've really enjoyed listening to this series. The events highlighted range from famous to obscure and each is illuminating in its own way about the state of the current world.

background noises

I'm enjoying this series. I loved the information, the interviews and I learned a lot. But what is with the screechy background noise near the beginning! I couldn't hear anything over it and I was wearing headphones, god that hurt my ears. It's not atmospheric, it's just painful.
