Do you say “yes” when you mean “no”? Do you end up in lopsided relationships, feeling resentful but not sure how to speak up? Do you feel anxious, struggle with perfectionism and imposter syndrome, or feel like you’ve lost touch with your true self? You’re not alone: Thousands of people, especially those of us socialized as women, struggle with Emotional Outsourcing—a term nurse practitioner and life coach María Victoria Albina coined to describe the codependent habits that keep us stuck.
In End Emotional Outsourcing, Albina explores the origins—both personal and systemic—of these tendencies, and coaches readers through a science-backed program of thought work and somatic practices. Readers will learn to:
·Regulate their nervous systems
·Reframe their habitual thoughts and actions
·Take back their time and energy
·Improve relationships with parents, friends, and partners
·Discover their inherent self-worth and lovability
Groundbreaking, healing, and urgent, End Emotional Outsourcing is poised to change the conversation about codependency, and help an entire generation of women step into their power.

Albina ends the book with her signature message—“You are safe, you are held, you are loved. And when one of us heals, we help heal the world.” This perfectly captures the heart of her work. Truly a must-read for anyone ready to stop self-abandoning and reclaim their wholeness.
You Are Safe, You Are Held, You Are Loved

Her narration adds real intimac that's measured, warm, and honest without ever feeling rehearsed. The power of hearing her voice makes her reflections land even deeper. It feels less like an audiobook and more like a long talk with a wise friend who isn’t afraid to tell the truth.
This is not a quick-fix self-help title; it’s a call to self-awareness and agency. Perfect for anyone navigating burnout, relationships, or the quiet exhaustion of constantly performing for others. Beautifully written, deeply relevant, and full of moments that make you stop, grateful to hit pause, the playback just to think.
Truly a treasure chest of insight

Bea’s writing is a fun blend of quirky & endearing, warm & thoughtful, reassuring & confronting.
Her expertise & experience shine through in a very real way & she frames some very fraught concepts in clear, digestible terms.
The pet names & such took some getting used to, but I can tell they’re genuine & just part of her charm.
Despite all the growing I still need to do, this book helped me see so much of my life & coping skills with new layers of understanding - I’m immensely grateful to have stumbled upon it & believe it’s a worthwhile read/listen for anyone who may have patterns of perfectionism or people-pleasing!
Everything I didn’t know I needed 🤍
