This 1769 edition is highly sought after due to being more reader/listener friendly than the 1611 since many typos were fixed.... fantastic story
gripping story, wonderful narrator. written in 1933, feuchtwager has a clear view of the atrocities and future of the nazi regime. his predictions of the future actions of the regime are not always right, but astonishingly correct. interesting how many parallels to today, including policing of the spoken word, denunciation of the press, ignorance and hostility against the truth and intellects.
