Publisher's summary

When Navy SEAL Mack Bedford's fellow officers are brutally killed by Iraqi insurgents using a cruel, new anti-tank Diamondhead missile, Mack avenges their murders by gunning down the then-unarmed attackers, ultimately getting himself court-martialed and kicked out of the Navy. To make matters worse, Mack then learns that the Diamondhead missiles were sold illegally by French industrialist and infamous politician Henri Foche. Mack believes Foche will become the next French President, and fears that his election will result in the cancellation of all navy-ship purchases from the United States, and thus protect French interests in the Diamondhead. End result: doom for Mack's hometown shipbuilding yard and the spread of international terrorism.

Justifying

The right thing had to be done. It was, and the tale is believable. Loved the book.

EXCELLENT.

If I could give both the story itself and the reading 6 stars I would

Navy Seals

Total action from the beginning. Being a Navy veteran, I could relate to a lot of the novel but most in envy of what Matt accomplished albeit fiction but made so believable through the authors hand. It really ended with the old saying of what goes around, comes around and justice was served to a devil that got his comeuppance.

Good story with a few discrepancies

A little Long winded to begin with Which makes the beginning of the book difficult to get into. There are a few discrepancies present during the telling of the story that bother me somewhat. Usually seals are not associated with riding in tanks . There is a constant mention of revolver and magazines. Pistols have magazines not revolvers. Distinction should be made. Sidewinder missiles are air to air missiles not air-to-ground. They should have been Maverick missiles.
Also first cellphone call was with personal phone. Editor needs to be more careful.

Overall remainder of story has good flow.
Exciting in last few hours making it a worthwhile read.

Good story- ignore the negative reviews

Overall an entertaining book with good characters and a very compelling narration. A hair similar to the Terminal List but way less graphic violence.

That's what I'm talkin' about

If you want a few hours of action-packed storytelling that isn't ashamed of its patriotic leaning theme, about a modern-day superhero reminiscent of what they were like when you were a kid - well, grab a cup of coffee, put your feet up, suspend your disbelief for a while and give this a listen. You won't be disappointed!

It was good, even with the mistakes

Yes there are a few mistakes, and they can be annoying but it would be a 5-star novel if they weren’t there. If you can get over them, it is a good book and a pretty good narration. It’s a lol planned out and it’s not overall suspenseful, except for the end. It had a pretty good but predictable ending.
