Publisher's summary

In this first book of the Devereaux Chronicles, we meet Emma Draper, whose life is about to change in every way imaginable.

Moving with her husband and children to a new home is just the beginning. The supernatural occurrences in the old house begin on the very first day, but the reality of the situation takes time for Emma to understand and accept.

Her sanity is challenged when she cannot convince her husband that these eerie happenings are actually taking place and Emma even begins to doubt them herself, until the danger becomes very real and her children’s lives are now at stake.

Emma’s love and loyalty are tested as her relationship with her husband continues to disintegrate and she is left to handle the dangerous situation on her own.

Even more trouble comes her way when two brothers arrive to help her get rid of the dangerous entities that have taken over her home.

Emma must find the courage and resolve within herself to join them as they do battle with the ghosts and demons.

But, if they succeed in surviving the evil residing in the house and are able to make it safe once again, will Emma be able to disregard the feelings she now has for one of the brothers and put her children first, giving up her own happiness in return?

Ghosts/Demon

I totally enjoy books with ghosts and ghost hunters and this one had both. I enjoyed the characters of the Devereaux brothers Tim and Scott and Emma with the supernatural activity. Emma makes close friendship with neighbor Lynne and both find a medium to help rid the house of ghosts but activity worsens and takes kids to husband’s and finds he has mistress. She then goes to motel and contacts the brothers. They all enter the house even with Callie her dog who turns out to be a sensitive, just listen/read if you like ghosts. Look forward to next book Devil’s Retribution. I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review. THANK YOU

Interesting paranormal story

The book was phenomenal up until it just went south and became confusing. It started to sound like a story from the tv show Supernatural and I just completely became disinterested at that point. The narration was good but the story faltered. I received this book at my request from AudioBoom and I am voluntarily leaving my honest review here.

it was ok

it was an okay storyline. resembled a popular TV series a bit too closely. Not that I don't like that show; but this story just felt like it was trying to emulate the show on several levels.
Other than that it was a good story

Devil's Bait

This was a very good story.Emma and her family move to a new neighborhood. They have no idea they moved into a 'murder house' until the kids go to school. When things start to happen,Emma tries everything she can to get rid of the spirits by herself, since her husband is no help.I was dissapointed in the preview for the next book, though I want to read it!lol Jenny Kelly was a fine narrator.I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

Great until the supernatural brothers

The main character and her children walk in while her husband is naked and having an affair. Yet she leaves the kids with him. Then she has an affair with Sam from the TV show Supernatural. Its not really Sam but it's two brothers who kill supernatural things while posing as FBI agents, Doctors and ect... They also having been fighting demons since 12 and their father trained them. I was liking the book until this craziness started happening.
