LOVE!!! I felt so deeply for the pain in this story. I loved the pull of attraction and the aches of frustration. I was absorbed and felt like I was living in their story.

Parker 😍

After falling for Parker in Fumbled Hearts, I couldn’t wait to dive in to his story in Defense Hearts – and wow, what a journey it was.
At first, I’ll admit, I wasn’t sure how I felt about Kendra. If you were swooning over “Hero” in the first part of this duet like I was, you might struggle with her in the beginning too. But trust me – stick with it. Their story unfolds in a way that makes you understand, and eventually appreciate, every moment they share (even the tough ones).
Parker is everything I hoped he would be and more. He picks up a few different nicknames along the way, and each one fits perfectly for the phase he’s in – but “Hero” might be the most fitting of them all. And it doesn’t just apply to him.
This book is emotional, raw, and real – with just the right amount of swoon. Meagan Brandy absolutely delivered.

Woah this one was even harder to read. Like I knew there was more to Parker, but this was heavy. I kept waiting for the other shoe to drop, but there was more than one shoe. An avalanche really. I was expecting a story like Lolli and Nate’s but it’s so not. And that’s not to say it’s not good because it is. It’s just different. And it sets up Say You Swear SO good! If I hadn’t already read the book I’d have already been invested in Ari’s story. I do want to reread it now and see everything that I missed as a connection.

I couldn’t put it down!

Welp! I stayed up all night listening to this one. Such a beautiful story. It hit on a lot of sensitive issues but ended in a HEA- beautiful.

PARKER (Hero)

We meet Parker Baylor in Fumbled Hearts so I recommend listening to that first to get a backstory on some amazing characters that overlap into Defenseless Hearts. Can’t forget Lolli! Parker is the kind of selfless, loyal, patient, wears his heart on his sleeve type of guy & is in love with the one girl he can’t have. Kendra struggles with trying to do the right thing & hurting everyone in the process including herself. Is there a happy ending? This story is definitely a grab your tissues in more ways than one but well worth the listen! Thank you Meagan Brandy for another amazing story you never disappoint!
