As always, Nichelle Clark is in the middle of a delicious scandal. The plot is fast paced and multidimensional. I love this series and wish LynDee Walker would write faster.

series went down hill.

liked the series up until the last two books. will not be buying the last. I don't know why the series made a turn for the worse. if I wanted to n listen to romance I would purchase a romance novel. and this book in particular has become so unbelievable. Walker has now gotten into my do not purchase list. I'd give this book zero stars if I could.

Deadly Politics

This book was fabulous, you never know who did it or who is the culprit, it was a chase. Political books are normally not my thing because I was got a little bit confused with all the different head games.

This book not only gave us something to root for but also so many questions and small answers along the way it was intense in a way I wasn’t expecting.

The way that Kyle acted had me so confused but also intrigued because he’s not one to freak out. All he wanted was to keep Nichelle safe and by accidentally getting her involved he knew she wouldn’t be.

Joey surprised me I loved when Nichelle and Joey work together those two are fire. I can’t wait to see what’s going to happen next I am sad that the series only has one more book left.

Again Therese is awesome!

One more Nichelle book

This book is #7. I already have #8 (and last), Hidden Victims, to read next. Thank goodness. This series of books is basically brain candy, beach reads, a bit of mystery. It's mostly make believe. Nichelle Walker, primo girl reporter with a huge head and an expensive shoe habit. Both are getting very annoying. I've read them all, enjoyed the first one very much, but as each book unfolds, I recognize the repetitive behavior, sayings, things Nichelle holds near and dear (shoes, men's affections, The News, Reporting).. Each book is pretty much the same, different murder and bit of mystery. But Miss Walker is way better than Lois Lane. Just ask her. And she has many versions of Superman at her disposal. Every man she knows is after her, from mobsters to congressmen, FBI to news editors. Alas, her heart belongs to reporting and the greater good. She brave to the point of stupidity, but she's rescued by one of her harem of men each time. Of course, sometimes she rescues them. Her shoe fetish? Only the most expensive. She says "Holy Manolo". Often. She measures adventures by comparing them to her favorite shoes. A knife is as long as the stiletto of her 4" Louboutins. She lost a brand new Jimmy Choo in a swamp as she rescues somebody. Ick.

Harmless adventures. Harmless reading. Rescued mostly by the narrator, Therese Plummer, who is excellent in everything she narrates. I wonder if she wears a cape to the recording sessions.....

Bits from several previous books come to a head

Nichelle finally goes too far as she takes a stand to protect a source and an individual at the cost of her job and disgrace. Joey and Kyle both land in the doghouse due to significant omissions, but all come together to foil a terrorist plot to kill the President of the United States. Who was the original victim and just why did a coverup get started. Another great story and continuing good work by Therese Plummmer
