Another amazing story!

Loved this 3rd book in the series. the narrator was great at all the characters voices. would recommend this book to anyone who likes suspense and mystery!

Very well written. Good closure to an interesting story. Nick Podehl is a fantastic narrator! He enhances the story marvellously. I will be looking out for more books read by him. Steven James writes a good plot. Excellent writer!

A Thrilling End To Trilogy

Steven James authors a thrilling end to the trilogy with suspense, danger, new companions and some riddles to keep things interesting. However, those riddles that took until the end of the book to reveal weren't all that difficult to figure out.
The author's style seems similar to Dean Koontz's early era and the writing itself, while mostly lying in a Young Adult genre, steps softly into the adult genre, as well.

Nick Podehl's performance is as masterful as I've come to expect.

After two great books, this one switched to first person.

I may return this book. I'll see if I can slog through it. I HATE first person!!! The first two books in the series were third person, so I was shocked to eagerly start the third book, and hear this bunch of "I's", Needed to give a warning to anyone else who detests first person. What POSSIBLE good first person does, I just can't imagine. Very disappointed!!!

I listened to and reviewed the first two books of the Blur trilogy almost 18 months ago, but just got around to Curse. I love all three books in this teen series. Briefly, the protagonist is high school student and basketball star Daniel Byers who is an only child who lives with his parents in small town Wisconsin His dad is sheriff. In Blur Daniel started having "blurs" which first appear to be momentary losess of reality during which time he sees things and develops understanding other do not. The Blur story (Blur, Fury, and Curse) is fascinating.

Detective thriller author Steven James does a great job with this teen trilogy. The novels in this trilogy most remind me of the Mickey Bolitar trilogy by Harlan Coben. Ironically Nick Podehl narrates both the Blur trilogy and the Mickey Bolitar trilogy. He does a great job. The books must be read in order written:Blur, Fury, and Curse. Although written for a mostly teen audience adults will also like these novels.

When the readers understand all of the blurs and how they play into the story.

Yes, I have listened to the Blurs trilogy and all of the performances are doing superbly. The variety of voices he uses for the character adds a delightful element to the story.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes, I was on the edge of my seat and wanted to know what was going to happen next with Daniel

I enjoyed this trilogy and highly suggest it to anyone who wants to go on an exciting thrilling, mystery. You will not regret it!!

Blur trilogy- like them all!

Love the characters. Good story. I like the family and the youth., they are realistic people with real issues. I like the fiction aspect too, of the blurs. Well done.

Trilogy ends with a whimper rather than a bang.

Read/listened to the first two books in this trilogy a long time ago (not even sure if I reviewed them or not. Will have to go back and check on that) but rather than jumping into the 3rd book I got wildly sidetracked by something else and only now listened to book three. I remember enjoying both the first and 2nd books quite a bit and I'm not sure if my feelings would have been different had I listened right after finishing 2, but I must say I found this volume to be a disappoint all around.

The scope of this story in this one just felt off. Where the other books felt like intimate stories, mainly dealing with Daniel and his close friends in his home town, this one totally goes the other way, having wider implications and truly stretch the limits of suspension of disbelief. Too many things in the story just feel too unbelievable or seem to have no logical connections. I didn't hate it, but it was definitely the weakest book in the trilogy.

Even Nick Podehl's narration grated on me a bit. I love Nick. He normally does fabulous work, and for the most part his narration was decent. If Nick has one shortcoming it's his 'female voices' many of them come of sounding extremely whiny and perhaps I only took note of it in this book because there were quite a few female characters this time around. Doesn't change my feelings on Nick overall. I generally love the guy's work, with his narration of the Kingkiller Chronicles being some of my all time favorite work, but this just wasn't him at his best.
