Ready for Book 2

it's an excellent book and performance. I am ready for book 2 ,whenever it comes out.

Fun deep dove into cultivation strategy

Great narration and storytelling while also giving us a complex cultivation system that’s manageable in chapter sized bites. I listened straight through without switching out to another book in my long queue. That’s saying something. I look forward to bingeing the next and seeing what kind of mischief this hero who just wants to read can get into.

Nice take on xianxia,

the story is good, while the grammar feels awkward at times. other than that its a solid read

Better than most Xianxia

I’m normally not a Xianxia fan but Nerd is a rare exception. Excellent delivery and fun story!

a very enjoyable listen

Thanks! The MC was grounded and rational. Each of the characters felt real, and MC's interactions with the other characters were enjoyable. It felt like the author had a strong focus on breaking the cliches of the genre, and while those attempts weren't invisible, IMO they did a good job. I'm looking forward to Book 2.

Fun read

Good writing though the chapter endings sometimes felt awkward. Interesting MC and enough side characters to inspire additional reads with this author

if He Says Xianxia One More Time!!!

The story is great. Its a solid cultivation story so far. But if the author keeps needlessly writing Xianxia or Jade Beauty, I am going to loose it!

Enjoyed it Despite Poor Plotting

Imagine if you had all the clues leading up to learning the secret of Voldemort's plan for the Sorcerer's Stone but the book ends before anything is explained. That's basically the issue with this novel.

Having said that, apart from this huge flaw it is a fun Xinxia novel with an enjoyable twist. I'm probably being generous with scoring because not resolving the mysterious elements within a novel is incredibly terrible plotting, and I may not return to this series or read anything from the author in the future because of it, but the bar is really low for cultivation novels. They're simply aren't that many of them and the ones that are written are incredibly amateur. if you really like this genre then this is a good book within it.
