Tøø ØP

It feels like the main character has outgrown everything, a Gød amongst ants... only holding onto the people and farm because its familiar... He has outgrown everything.

great characters

great narration, great characters. once again a kinda boring dungeon run at the end though. Hints that maybe there's a reason behind that though? guess we'll see.

Three for three can’t wait for the next one

Loved this book. Love this series. Wish there was more of the animal interaction but still a great story

Dear sweet lord the villain laughing

okay so the reason I gave one star on performance was only because of what is to this point the single biggest flaw in the entire audiobook series in my humble opinion.

but really though I am aware of the fact that it's just my personal reaction to this aspect of the story but whatever anyways I get that it was kind of on purpose but still the laughing that the main villain does in the last fight I don't know if it was the frequency or the way the narrator is doing it but it was like nails to my brain.

for a good chunk of the the fight when the villain is monologuing almost every freaking sentence either began or ended with this really really annoying laugh. and again it goes above and beyond even just oh it was supposed to be that way it was just one of the worst things I've had to sit and listen to over more than 300 plus audiobooks I've listened to.

yeah other than that thumbs up Great book narrator did a good job but oh that part was so grating to the point that I almost had to stop listening until it finally stopped.

An easy 5 stars for this outstanding series

Book 3 continues the adventures of John and Co. with a serious threat to deal with. I am recommending this series to everyone. The characters are interesting and story moves at a good pace. Michael Kramer is a top 5 narrator. If you like this series, you’ll probably also like Divine Apostasy by AF Kay and Cradle by Will Wight.

MC gets a bit stupid

And story becomes somewhat tired about 2/3 of the way through. It’s still ok, but the writing gets lazy (more word repetition) and the MC forgets he has more spells than fire ball.

Second half a bit rushed

So the plot for the first 3/4 is a good pace and then out of the blue there is a series ending level conflict that just sort of happens. I feel it was rushed also the chief villain seems to be introduced right when the ultimate evil plan is in effect, really wish the author had spent more time on building that up so there was more tension in the moment. What it felt like was that the author was trying to end the series however I guess he already wrote another book which is confusing since there really is no conflict left for the "Eternal Flame" to face, he ends the book in a pretty comfortable place.

I love the characters and the world though.
