I have read and listened to this book 5 or more times.
The world has been invaded by dinosaur-looking reptilian aliens. A small hidden stronghold of humanity remains hidden outside of Sydney, Australia. Join the survivors as they learn to love and fight to stay ahead of the aliens,

Another great read. Hell Squad #2

Santha. Ever since meeting her in the midst of battle, he can't get her out of his mind and looks for her every time his squad goes out. Now, they really need her intel to find some human captives hidden somewhere in the city.

Cruz. Something about him makes Santha's heart race each time they meet. But she is on a mission to avenge the death of her sister, and is used to being alone. She cannot deny her help, though, once she hears of the rescue plans. As they work to thwart the raptors and save as many humans as they can, these two act on their feelings. All I will say is...whew.

Reading how this story unfolded kept me up later than I should have been awake, and I will gladly do it again for the next book in the series.

Fabulous story

Cruz is suave with a great accent. I wasn’t sure I would like this series but I have to say it is definitely worth the listen. The story is well written and narrated. It has action, suspense, intrigue, adventure and Hot Romance.
The narrator’s do a fabulous job with the characters and voices of each. I think I have found two more narrator’s to add to my list of favorites.

Santha is a warrior

Loved Cruz and Santha. My only issue was actually with the narration - the female narrator's "accent" for Cruz was inconsistent and mostly sounded more Russian than latin. Detracted from enjoyment of the read but the story was still good

Love the characters! Strong female. Great Action!

this was my very first Anna Hackett book I've read. Love strong female characters. Glad to now also own a copy of the Audiobook. JK & SC do a pretty good job at telling the story.

Great series

BOOK REVIEW.......Cruz and Santha are two of my favorite characters of the series. I loved how lost to the point of being ready to give up Cruz was until Santha came into the picture. I'm a sucker for the whole love of a good woman saving the lost hero type story. Santha is a great character. She's tough, bad ass take no prisoners woman.

Cruz and Santha make a hot sounding couple. The chemistry and dialogue between them is sassy. witty, steamy, electric and so very sexy hot. Their story is fast paced and very well thought out. There was however a lot of grammar errors and repeated words. Which did get a bit annoying but in no way took away from the story.

I would recommend this book and series to anyone looking for a good alien story to read.

WOW

Let me start by saying I just love this series! Plenty of action with some very steamy scenes thrown in at all the right places. The stories are fast paced and absorbing with Ms. Hackett adding layers in each book of character development and complexity (so there is a strong listen in order recommendation). Jeffrey Kafer and Samantha Cook do an awesome job brining the character to life and filling the pictures in your head with details of the action with the skill of great narrators.
Word of warning: Once you get started, this series is hard to put down

Will Cruz convince Santha there’s more to life that revenge?

Cruz is the second book in the Hell Squad series. Cruz can’t help but be drawn to Santha’s passion and warrior attitude, but she’s used to working alone and has revenge on her mind. As they join forces to rescue humans from the alien invaders, will Cruz convince Santha there’s more to life than just revenge?

Oh, every time I experience this book, my heart is hooked right from the beginning and I can’t help but fall in love with Cruz and Santha! They have so much fight and they prove that there’s so much to fight for! Cruz is brave and such a protector, has a lot of pain from his past, but also has so much love to give. Santha is absolutely perfect for him, as she’s also so courageous and a natural protector, and I love that they help heal each other’s hearts. They have passion, but they also have a true connection that you can feel from the pages and from the narrators. Mr. Kafer and Ms. Cook did a fantastic job bringing the characters and emotions to life, and I felt like I was right there with Cruz and Santha, with all they were experiencing. I cried, I swooned, I was sitting on the edge of my seat, and I loved every second being a part of this book and this series!
