Publisher's Summary

Come Together is the third and final installment of The Cityscape Series after Come Undone and Come Alive.

With a single decision, Olivia Germaine's fantasy has become a reality. Now she is faced with two commitments: one she must make and one she must break. But in order to accept a love she never thought possible, Olivia will have to let go of the broken past that defines her - and of deeply-rooted fears that could ruin everything.

Everything is what David Dylan wants to give her, and it's what he wants in return. He must prove to Olivia that despite his playboy ways, he's worth leaving behind the stable future her husband can offer her. David is a man who always gets what he wants...but this time, he may be fighting for something unattainable.

Can Olivia escape the past that threatens to consume her? And can David break through to her before it does?

Long and brining

I really enjoyed this series until the final installment. The story dragged out longer than it needed. The characters seemed much more immature from the previous two books. I found myself resenting Olivia and her constant back-and-forth. The only redeeming quality of this book was Andi Arndt and her superb narration.

Olivia is SOOOO WHINY

I feel like a few other reviewers. Olivia is so whiny. She keeps doubting herself and second guessing everyone's motives. Just make a decision and stick with it. Every time she started to whine I wanted to skip ahead. At times difficult to listen to. Other than the whine, I loved the story. It was relatable. It could happen to anyone. And of course, the narration was great!

Too long

Olivia has to be the most whiny character I’ve ever read in a book. I was expecting a better finish to this story. We could have had less turmoil for the main characters. I just can’t get over how whiny Olivia was.

A good 3 hrs to long!!

I totally enjoyed the first 2 books but this one is just not doing it for me! With 4 hours remaining I found myself wanting to just skip to the end to see what happens... I’m just over it😴😴

He's More Patient Than I Am!

Finally! I admitted to being a hypocrite about the first book, because I'm not really into stories about cheating. Then I had to admit that the second book just barely kept me hanging on, but the middle book in a trilogy is notorious for being the toughest to write (and read) because it is by nature very content-heavy. But at long last, book three truly satisfied me. Yippee! As a reader, I got everything I wanted out of the series, and was very satisfied.

I will only admit to having a vague and slightly transient feeling of wanting to tape Olivia's mouth shut a few times when she would start her ritualistic "what if" scenarios. Goodness, that girl needed some therapy. She seriously has a relational self-destruct thing going on; as soon as things start going smoothly she stirs up the waters because she doesn't really know how to be happy! All I could think was that while David wasn't perfect, he was amazingly patient to tolerate the same ol' thing happening again and again. But, hey, when you love someone...

a SF book

A grand disappointment. How lucky a woman can be? He gave her everything and she refused him over and over.... No No. It is a SF book.
The thing about a child... just shocked me and I could not stand it any more...

Just Okay

This was the last book in the series, however it was not as good as the first two books. I guess I wanted more for both of the characters after all she went through or put her ex has been through, I thought it would have ended a little bit differently. I am glad that she found her happiness, but it was such a whiny and annoying way to get to her happy ending.

Confused

Spoiler!!!

The book had me wanting to know the ending of what Olivias choice would be. Is David a sexy bachelor or is he a womanizer. Then you have Bill that has been white Olivia.
I really felt for Bill, Olivia treated him like s***. I felt like she was selfish and cold towards her husband. She really never tried.
Then you have David whom they have an instant connection full of lust. He is demanding and controlling.
The expectation that Bill needs to move on and be okay with her infidelity is unreasonable. I think anyone would be angry like he was. This book made me dislike Olivia, she wanted to be taken care of, and not an equal in a relationship. David provided that.
It was a good audiobook. The narrators were great. I was left confused, I liked the book but just hated some parts in it.

Last in Series, Good, but expected a bit More

I have to say again that Andi Arndt did an amazing job with all the characters in this series.
She is the Best Female Narrator ever.

This last book in this series was good. I kept waiting for more to happen in this one as their relationship came together.
It still is a very good story and a good ending. I just expected more drama with Olivas ex Bill. I figured there would be a huge battle with him letting go.
I loved the way this writer hits on the girlfriends nights out, their conversation and how they make fun of romance, sex and relationships. It is all true, so funny and well done. That is one of the highlights of this series.

I will look into more Jessica Hawkins books. I enjoyed this series very much.

Awesome book

Wow, the three books that make up this story are all brilliant and this last one is so well written. The narrator is brilliant and I will certainly buy more from this author
