Publisher's summary

My name is Mac Brennan, and I'm getting pretty sick of demons. For one, they're jerks. For two, they're ugly. For three, see points one and two.

I should have known making a deal with a devil would end with me getting double-crossed, but what can I say, I'm an idiot who wanted his family back.

That demon may have put an army between me and my family, but if I've learned anything these last few days, it's that you can kill anything if you shoot it enough times.

And I've got a whole lot of bullets.

Action packed and great dialogue

You must read the books in order. The time frame of the adventure is over a few days. The first two books end in cliffhangers with Mac in a precarious situation.

Burns starts with Dante and Ricky down, and Mac is in a battle to save their lives with his power dwindling. The action keeps going at an insane rate. Mac and his team keep getting their asses kicked following clues, which take them on a wild goose chase while they are trying to find his family. Mac’s family is being passed around to different demons like a bag of chips.

Dante the holy monster hunter, forms a truce with Mac and Ricky who he considers monsters. The partnership is based on the enemy of my enemy is my friend. We find out more about Dante’s past. Ricky is called to take care of her responsibilities as an alpha pack leader. She leaves the guys to experience a few fights without her and Mac becomes a pawn in her fight. Mac and friends are always out gunned, magic and up against insurmountable odd yet, they prevail.

Burned continues with the action that we love, with Mac fighting lords of hell or their minions. Through all the fighting Mac did learn do not mess with gremlins. Yea, I liked that gremlin fight.
