Definitely and bunch of Rebels and Rejects in this

This is an explosive beginning to this series and will definitely keep you interested all the way through. Loved that there are multiple narrators since this is from multiple POVs. Diving right into book two!!

Meh

In the end, the story improved a little.

Prior to Ch 16, I left this review: I’m confused by the author writing the same repeated content over and over in each chapter with almost no forward momentum.

90% is redundant, excessive inner monologue about the gangs, how she wants to destroy them, how miserable life is with the gangs, how she’s being followed…

But no payoff. No progress toward anything meaningful. Nothing new or intriguing.

Giving it one more chapter and will either give up or keep going pending the content.

Needs more back story

It was good, not great. Easy to follow along with, but quite predictable. Not exactly a “dark” read.

Action Packed!

I listened to the audiobook version of this story and it was so good!! This is my first book by this author and it's exactly what I had been craving. Sawyer is a strong FMC, determined to raise her brother right, while getting rid of abusive men. Her personality is perfect for the vigilante vibe she had going on. Then you have Cain and Oliver who are the most delicious scary men, but also soft when they need to be. I loved the chemistry between them and the pull they felt for each other. The story was full of action and suspense and it kept me enthralled the whole way through. The narration by Curt Bonnem, Kasi Hollowell, Rock Engle, and Bradley Ford was spectacular. I couldn't get enough.

Degradation

I don't dislike dominant men but degradation makes me sick. I had a hard time with this book from the beginning as it's set it a world where women are nothing and treated like trash.
I quit after chapter 12 when Kane, who is supposed to be a member of Sawyer's harem uses Sawyer while calling her disgusting names in a "steamy" scene that had me shaking in rage.
