The Elite Kings Club left a trail of fear behind every person who whispered their names throughout the centuries that they'd existed.

They were the product of every nightmare you were told as a child, only now, they don't go bump in the night. They race modified cars, throw parties to conceal their morbid games, and leave behind the kind of chaos that can never be tamed.

They were from an ancient bloodline of the three Founding Fathers, and it was almost time for them to plunge deeper into the depths of hell. Now that they were all on their motherland, and even closer to an island with history as dark as it was ruthless, no one had a say in the carnage of what was to come. And in this case, with War and Halen. Until now, they were nothing but exactly as they appeared on the outside.

He was a brother's best friend, and a boy Halen had never not known.

She was the daughter of one of the most feared families known to man, and the only girl who ever kindled his rage. They'd push and pull until it tore them apart… if only to feel the shell of their bodies close.

Halen knew crossing that line with him was dangerous ground, yet she yielded her weapon and did it anyway. But history was being challenged, and The Kings were about to learn that not all enemies are discovered on a battlefield.

Some are the ghosts of what was left behind.

I thought the story got a bit hazy and hard to follow in certain parts, but the ending all tied it together very well!
Corvin King is just purely a GOD! His voice and the way this man can tell a story… I mean I could listen to this man read the ingredients of dog food and be completely entertained, delighted and my ovaries would still be doing a happy dance!!! But to hear him call someone “baby” - 😩 ughhh, it must be a sin!!! Lol!

I loved the end of the story and how it all came together!

CRAZY AND ADDICTIVE

The story is not as great as I was expecting. It did have some craziness, but it was a bit bland, the angst is missing. I did not DNF because I wanted to see how it ended but it did have my mind drifting when I was listening as parts were boring or drawn out. However, I could listen to Corvin King narrate anything and it would keep me interested. If he wasn't narrating, I think I would have stopped listening.

Not as great as I expected

Stories about secret societies are interesting to me because it shows how they are the most savage & depraved beasts in existence. Even though this is fiction, I bet there's also truth...incest, senseless killing, debauchery, drunks & drug addicts, theives, drinking of blood, blood suckers of the poor, & so on...mainly from those in 'high society'. It's interesting to read about it to see how vile they really are & they hide in plain site. So thankful that I wasn't born into that! Narration was great...although I usually have to warm up to Corvin King. I was confused on some of the scene transitions, but the story kept me intrigued. So...great writing. I will listen to the next book.

Curiously Interesting...
