Publisher's Summary

Before Liz Lemon, before "Weekend Update", before "Sarah Palin", Tina Fey was just a young girl with a dream: a recurring stress dream that she was being chased through a local airport by her middle-school gym teacher. She also had a dream that one day she would be a comedian on TV.

She has seen both of those dreams come true.

At last, Tina Fey's story can be told. From her youthful days as a vicious nerd to her tour of duty on Saturday Night Live; from her passionately halfhearted pursuit of physical beauty to her life as a mother eating things off the floor; from her one-sided college romance to her nearly fatal honeymoon - from the beginning of this paragraph to this final sentence.

Tina Fey reveals all, and proves what we've all suspected: you're no one until someone calls you bossy.

Includes special, never-before-solicited opinions on breastfeeding, princesses, Photoshop, the electoral process, and Italian rum cake!

A Great Disappointment

Would you try another book from Tina Fey and/or Tina Fey?

Probably if it was a book ofher ccomedy routines.

Would you ever listen to anything by Tina Fey again?

Yes

How did the narrator detract from the book?

It sounded like she was reading as fast as she could just to get through the book

Any additional comments?

First I love Tina Fey as a commedian and actor. I was really looking forward to listening to her book especially after all the glowing Audible reviews it received. What I found was a crude attempt at humor by a reader who was exploiting her name. It soon became boring and repetitious. What a shame.

I really was looking for some good comedy...but...

I really was looking for some good comedy... based on the reviews I thought give it a try, but soon I realized I havn't laughed once... and that was the theme at least to the middle ofthe book where I will stop now and and return it.
It's not bad. But it's just not funny to me... Missed my mark.

Who Cares?

Biggest waste of time ever. Material and Story are painfully boring. This actor is soooo overrated.

Meh

One of only a few Audible books I did not finish. Kept waiting for the funny parts. Then I turned it off.

Not funny, boring and could not wait for it to end

I know this book has gotten a lot of high marks, but this one was just not for me. I think I laughed once during this entire book. I like 30 Rock but it is not one of my favorites, still this book pales in comparison to the show. I'm sure that Tina is a very funny person but I feel that this book has been over-edited and as a result it is just a bunch of watered down unfunny stories.

Meh

A few laughs. Mostly just inane filler. Really wish I had my 28 bucks back after buying the audiobook

Not for me

I found this to be boring, both in context and the delivery. I expected anything with Tina Fey to be funny.

Boring

There is not even one good story. I couldn't finish. There is not a message, nothing...

Not up to the hype

This book wasn’t for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?

Someone who wants to hear Tina talk about her childhood - a lot.

What was most disappointing about Tina Fey’s story?

It was pretty ho-hum.

How did the narrator detract from the book?

The voice and overall tone detracted. Odd whispering portions that I can only assume were supposed to be asides were hard to understand.

What character would you cut from Bossypants?

Tina Fey's, sadly

Any additional comments?

I really wanted to like this book, but I just thought it was awful.
