They felt like they were meant to be

Blitz is the second book in the Treasure State Wildcats series. Toren and Jennsyn met on July 4 and had a one night stand. Then weeks later, they reunited at football coach and a student athlete. They tried to stay away, but eventually they started to sneak around and quietly dated as their relationship was forbidden by the college. The plot and pacing was well done, and romance was good. They felt like they were meant to be.

Love this small-town sports romance in audio!

Give me all the volleyball romances because this former player now coach is here for it! Blitz by Devney Perry was a sweet and sentimental small-town sports romance that enraptured my heart from start to finish. I loved everything about Toren and Jennsyn’s football coach/ volleyball player romance that had the perfect touch of forbidden, age gap, and swoon! This is book two in Perry’s Treasure State Wildcats series.

Vanessa Edwin and Jason Clarke perform this audiobook in dual-style narration. This narrator duo could not have been more perfect to portray Jennsyn and Toren. Vanessa’s vibrant, expressive tone perfectly conveyed Jennsyn’s passionate and vulnerable persona as she finally put her true desires and ambitions first. Jason’s signature growly voice gave Toren depth, charm, and an allure that made him an absolute dream. Plus, both narrators bring the heat with Toren and Jennsyn’s undeniable chemistry.

Overall, I LOVED this book! If you are a fan of a small-town sports romance with a hot dedicated coach, a fiercely determined volleyball player, Fourth of July party meet-cutes, neighborly love, borrowing movies, night chats under the stars, cheering from the sidelines, an overbearing mom, forbidden steamy times, doing what makes you happy, creating new dreams, and a HEA that is sure to win your heart, then you will love Jennsyn and Toren’s story. I always look forward to more from Devney Perry.

LOVED this!

I absolutely devoured this book! The age gap, the depth of the characters…Devney does it all PERFECTLY! The narration was absolutely brilliant. Vanessa was amazing and Jason, well he’s Jason and I can’t get enough!
I need more of Treasure State!!

Good follow up to Coach

I like that this falls in the same time line as Coach, and you see the characters I loved from that book.

Narration was perfection at bringing the two MCs to life.

This book was fantastic. Devney Perry did a fantastic job with all of the characters. Jason Clarke and Vanessa Edwin did a fans job at narrating.

Not DP’s best, but still worth the listen

This story had a wonderful premise, but was two hours too long! It just became a flat story until it picked up again. I love Devney Perry and I will still continue to love Devney Perry, but this was not her best.

perfect forbidden sports romance!

Blitz delivered at every turn! it has the small town Devney Perry charm we know and love with all the fun and excitement of a forbidden, sports romance. it was so easy to get sucked into their effortless and obvious chemistry, and you can’t help but root for them despite all the rules they’re breaking. it was the perfect balance of tension and sweetness. Jason Clarke & Vanessa Edwin brought these characters to life perfectly!

Cute story with fantastic narration!

Forbidden romance between a coach and a student without any of the ick. I liked how we see glimpses of the characters and story from the first book. I look forward to reading the third book.

Blitz

Blitz is the second book in the Treasure State Wildcats series. This book is about Toren and Jennsyn. Toren is one of the coaches of the Wildcats football team. Jennsyn is a vollyball player. One of the rules of this college is that staff can not date students.

Toren is hosting a Forth of July party, when he meets Jennsyn. They have a night together, and go their separate ways. However, life throws them a curveball when they end up being neighbors and see each other in the facility he works at often.

What happens when they fall for each other? Will it put his job at risk? So much happened in this book. From Jennsyn having someone controlling in her life, to figuring out how to fight her own battles. Torren trying to find love and happiness.

I'm hoping there is more in this series, because I loved the first two books so much
