Remarkable telling other remarkable life

Mother Teresa was a phenomenal individual. She was called by God to do great things. She reminds us that he did not also called us to do great things. The narration in this book is excellent. The parts where we hear recordings of Mother Teresa are sometimes difficult to understand, but overall well worth the effort. I would highly recommend this book for anyone wanting to learn about Mother Teresa and improves her own spiritual life.

Not really her own words...

What Mother Teresa says is wonderful, but there is a narrator who adds too much and is quite the distraction. The title should have been "In Her Own Words, and much more on how I interpret them and then some..." So why aren't there more clergy and religious that communicate Jesus Christ like Mother Teresa? My goodness, if they would just regurgitate her "own words" when speaking or when giving homilies, then people would be much more inspired and converted... but of course, she ALSO lived what she preached... or maybe its more that she preached what she actually lived.

A re-read and re-read, I believe

I had the extreme pleasure of actually falling asleep to this book. Now, usually, when I fall asleep "listening" it's a frustrating exercise to try to find out where I actually stopped "listening". But in this case, I started dreaming ... with the book. Mother Teresa was sitting across from me at my kitchen table, telling me how to forgive people, grow in holiness and laugh more. I woke up with such peace and joy. I recommend and hope the same thing happens to you.

This is a great book because you can pretty much pop in anywhere and get some jewels of Mother Teresa's graceful answers to life's questions. Although the sound quality is sometimes quite poor and our little Albanian saint's accent can occasionally be difficult to understand it's still worth it.

There aren't many books in my 300+ audio collection that I really listen to over and over. Especially when you're dealing with difficult audio, but this one is a little gem.

Magnificent words from a Saint

Great story with beautiful life lessons from Mother Theresa. Only negative was hard to hear at times due to recording quality, but still a great read!

Wonderful

The narrator is a bit overly on the nose hammering home points and over arching messages. However, it's a very touching audio book and all the recorded clips of Mother Teresa, though somewhat repetitive, are very inspiring!

Great Audiobook!

Loved listening to her voice and all her stories! Learned a lot! Hearing Father Angelo's experience working with Mother was great too!

What a treasure!

This audiobook contains various recordings of Mother Teresa herself. It's as if she takes you by the hand, speaks directly to your heart, and teaches you how to love. It will change your life! <3

Still meaningful but dated

What did you love best about Mother Teresa: In Her Own Words?

I did like hearing Mother Teresa speak her own words but at times it was hard to understand the recording.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Mother Teresa: In Her Own Words?

There were many memorable sayings. Mother telling her listeners that they do not have to go anywhere to start loving and helping. Start where you are. We are not called to succeed but to be faithful.

Have you listened to any of Mother Teresa’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

no

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

I was inpressed that she served and even encouraged people of other faiths to pray within their own faith.

Any additional comments?

Some of her saying have been over used and this dated the book for me. However, there were still a lot of inspirational thoughts.
