Rocked Bayou - Need my Own Collin Bodyguard!

Rocked Bayou is definitely one of my favorite books by Erin Nicholas, and hearing the characters brought to life by Connor and Angelina really elevated the story to the next level!

Hayden Ross comes around Autre looking for help from her friend Henry after a close call with a stalker. Things are hitting too close to home and she knows that she can trust her friend with her life. However, when she shows up at his house, she has a run in, literally, with the brickhouse that is Colin Daly.

The attraction between these two was intstant, but Colin knows that he needs to do his absolute best to stay away from the curvy beauty that is a few years younger than him AND a potential client. But of course that is always easier said than done.

This book was so enjoyable from start to finish! It's full of family, good friends, a town full of meddling people that just want to see everyone live their dreams, and plenty of chemistry and steam to keep you listening straight through.

Favorite of the Series

Colin and Hayden were definitely my favorite of this series. Colin has the swoony accent, obviously, but also cooks? Yeah, I’m already won over. Overprotective isn’t usually my jam, but when there is actually danger present, I am here for it. I loved how Colin didn’t hold back. Sure, he tried to stay professional for a time, but when he gave that up, he was all in. Hayden was amazing as well. She was protective and caring, while also being sweet and fierce at times. And not just with Colin, but with everyone. I also liked that there was a bit of suspense. It kept me frantically turning pages until the end.

After helping support her siblings reach their career goals Hayden’s dream of singing professionally is within her reach. The only problem is that she has attracted the attention of the wrong person and Colin has decided to handle her protection personally.

Colin has spent the last decade providing security for Fiona, a princess and her daughter, however they became more like family, and they still remain friends. When he meets Hayden, he knows that protecting her will help the business professionally, but it isn’t long before he can’t imagine a future without her in it.

Hot chemistry, a heartwarming romance and a little intrigue as Colin and Hayden realize that when it comes to their dreams for the future the only thing that really matters is each other. The characters draw you in and there is a great cast of secondary characters that leave you wanting more of this series. The narrators did a wonderful job at bringing out the personalities of the characters and their story.

Love this book just as much as I’ve loved the other books in this series. The love story was awesome. Erin out did herself writing this book!! Can’t wait for the next book!!!!!

I have listened to the whole series and enjoyed it! Would definitely listen again . And recommend!
