Before I found a love I was willing to die for, I had to survive one I had to kill for.
Chapel Crest wasn’t a place of solace. It was made for suffering.
I would know.
I’d been locked inside ever since my mother tossed me away like I didn't matter.
In my suffering though, I found her.
Isabella.
The girl who made me believe I mattered.
The girl I gave everything to.
The girl I loved.
The girl I would do anything for, even kill for.
Or just plain kill.
Because you don’t betray a watcher and live to tell about it.
This is the prequel to Chapel Crest and is best heard AFTER book one. It tells the tale of Sin and Isabella through multiple POVs before Sirena. This is a dark tale of greed, deception, and all things that hurt. Please listen to the foreword.

📖 I loved getting the backstory on Bells and why one particular members of The Watchers doesn’t want to claim our girl. Seeing him before everything went down was so sad, he was so different 🥺 and oh boy did we learn some disturbing background on Bells. I loved this one, but I’ll also be ready to get back to the main timeline!
🎧 The audio once again was absolutely amazing! The narrators all perform this so well and the casting was done to perfection! This is a must listen on audio series if you are ready to dive in!
Such a great backstory of Sin!

We got the cliff notes of why Sinclair (Sin) was pushing Sirena away in Church, but the full story was nothing compared to that. Sin fell hard and fast for Bells, after a lifetime of hurt he thought he had finally found love. Unfortunately Bells was only using Sin to get close to Church.
My jaw was on the floor from chapter 20 until the end. The twists and turns were epic! Bell and Sin’s relationship was Toxic with a capital T. There were times I felt bad for Bells given all she had been put through in her short life, but in the end she deserved what she had coming for her vile acts. I just wanted to hug Sin, but I’m still not happy with him after Church. I loved glimpsing into The Watchers’ friendship pre-Sirena plus their relationship with Asylum. Bring on the next book! I am still reeling over the Church cliffhanger!
Desiree fricken Ketchum people!!! I adore her narration and despite the absolute vile things Bells said and did, Desiree’s performance was top tier! Michael Gallagher was phenomenal as well, he brought Sin’s raw emotions to life beautifully. We heard more from Asylum in this one and Sean’s unhinged performance was amazing. Since this story primarily follows Bells and Sin we don’t hear as much from Joe Arden, Edward Black and J.Tipstone, but what we do hear just enhances this great audiobook.
Desiree Fricken Ketchum!!

Welcome back to Chapel Crest—where suffering isn’t just expected, it’s practically the main event. And in this prequel, we finally get Sin and Isabella’s story before Sirena ever walked into the picture. Multiple POVs, plenty of darkness, and enough twisted betrayal to keep you glued to your headphones.
Now, let me just say… the full cast narration? Perfection. Desiree Ketchum, Joe Arden, Michael Gallagher, Sean Masters, Edward Black, and J. Tipstone didn’t just read this book, they performed it. Every scream, whisper, and broken promise hit like a gut punch.
But the real chaos? Bells. Good lord, if you ever think you’re a little unhinged, meet Isabella. That girl took “crazy” to a PhD level. She didn’t just break Sin—she obliterated him. She might not have killed him like she wanted to, but she sure as hell shredded his heart and his mind until there was nothing left but shadows.
And here’s the thing—I loved seeing this side of Sin. He wasn’t the cold, calculated Watcher from Church. He was soft. Loving. Hopeful. And it hurt to see him weak, but it also made me understand him in a way I never had before. Suddenly, all of his choices later—the betrayal, the brutality, the walls he built—make perfect, devastating sense.
Dark. Twisted. Heart-wrenching. Bells isn’t just a prequel—it’s the missing piece that makes Sin’s story hit that much harder. And trust me… once you’ve heard Isabella’s brand of madness, you’ll never look at Chapel Crest the same way again.
