I Love Good Whiskey and J Beckett

This billionaire romance was the perfect break from my typical dark fantasy romance. I’m not one to usually choose a billionaire romance, but this story was just perfect. James and Scarlett‘s love story is a heart melting, swoon worthy, giggling and blushing good time. From the first moment he saw her he was obsessed, but what he didn’t know was that she had been crushing on him since she was a teenager. So when James Beckett CEO of Beckett whiskey needs a fake girlfriend, Scarlett is his choice. But not everything is as it seems with Scarlet. She has a hidden past, one that could be a major dealbreaker for their relationship. I truly enjoyed this book and the narrators, Shawn Masters as James and Avery Caris as Scarlett did an amazing job at bringing these characters and story to life. I look forward to the next installment of the Beckett Brothers series by LA Gallagher.

Great characters and story

I love me an Irish billionaire! Throw in a virgin educated stripper and a slow burn and Im hooked. James and Scarlett were extremely likeable from the start, the 50 shades overtures were a welcome surprise and it was overall a fun listen. Sean Masters excelled as James! Ready for the next Beckett brother!

Sean Masters is delicious as always

L.A. Gallagher is new to me- but I'll definitely be checking out more. Wreck Me is a sizzling, emotionally layered romance that kicks off the Beckett Brothers series with heat, heart, and just the right dose of drama. And the duet audio is fantastically narrated and loads of fun to listen to.

Our story follows Scarlett and James Beckett. At twenty three, Scarlett is a pole dancer at an elite gentlemen’s club, hustling to stay afloat and chasing dreams bigger than her current paycheck. When she locks eyes with James Beckett, a billionaire CEO ten years her senior, neither of them expects what comes next. James is in the middle of a public scandal. His playboy reputation splashed across tabloids and he needs to clean up his image. Fast.

SO his one night with Scarlett, his undeniable pull to her creates the perfect opportunity. One fake dating proposal that neither of them can walk away from. What starts as a mutually beneficial arrangement quickly spirals into something much deeper as the chemistry between them ignites and the emotional stakes rise.

The slow burn is perfectly paced, with just enough emotional tension and internal conflict to keep things interesting without dragging. L.A. Gallagher does a great job giving both characters space to grow individually, while still building a believable and addictively romantic connection between them. There's humor, heat, and heartfelt moments. And while some of the plot construct and the vibe of the fake dating trope is familiar, LA makes it feel fresh and emotionally rich.

I really loved Scarlett. At times age gaps, especially with a powerful CEO as the hero, the heroine can feel muted or immature. But Scarlett is neither. And Scarlett isn’t just a pretty face either. She’s smart, grounded, and determined. There’s a quiet strength in her, and narrator Avery Caris brings her to life with a performance that captures both her vulnerability and her unshakable sense of self. Avery's performance gives Scarlett depth, never letting her story get lost in the glitz or stereotypes. or lost in the deliciousness of James.

James is such a delicious hero. Powerful, flawed but good, dreamy and alpha. And Sean Masters voices James. HOLY MOLY. I'd honestly listen to hours of Sean Masters just listing out his grocery list. He's just that mesmerizing. As James, he is magnetic. His deep, rich, commanding voice perfectly suits a powerful man used to getting what he wants, while still capturing the softer, introspective side of a character genuinely trying to change. His vocal chemistry with Avery is electric. Both performances add so much tension, charm, and emotional layers to this story. And the subtle Irish tinge in both performances makes the performances even more immersive.

Scarlett and James’s story is sexy, smart, and surprisingly tender. With hints of deeper family dynamics and more Beckett brothers to come (this is the Beckett Brothers series after all), Wreck Me sets the stage for a series that will be bingeable. Heat, heart, and chemistry, fantastic narration. All in all this one was a great listen.

Wreck Me

My first 🎧book by this author and it was actually pretty good but it could’ve been so much better. First the narrators were good Sean Masters has a HAF voice everything he reads is perfection and Avery Caris wasn’t bad but the book was too long and somewhat repetitive. I like when the story ends with an HEA not just that the couple is happy…In my version of a perfect HEA it needs more sex, a wedding and multiple babies. Babies guarantees the next generation of love stories. With that being said…Is it worth a credit? Oh yes💋

Wreck Me is book #1 in The Beckett Brothers series. This is my first listen by the author and I am now a fan for this series! I mean, the bonus prologue starts off HOTT!!!!🔥 Based in Ireland, the Becketts have a whiskey empire along with some clubs, hotels, restaurants, etc., and I can't wait to hear all their stories. James Beckett is CEO of the family business, a total man-ho, and now the center of a sex scandal. Scarlett Fitzgerald is a student close to achieving her Master's in Finance, but working as a pole dancer to pay tuition. She's smart, young, still holds her V-card, and has caught the obsessive attention of James. He needs to clean up his image with the board, she needs the money, so a fake dating arrangement is the answer. Family secrets, threats from a rival distillery, and a spicy age-gap relationship made this story completely binge-worthy.

The duet narration was total perfection with both casting and performance. Sean Masters and Avery Caris (and Maxine Mitchell cameo) gave us accents for days and spice that kept my ears smoking! Loved, loved, loved this cast. 5/5 stars!

Narration by Avery Caris and Sean Masters was delightful and perfect to voice Scarlett and James.

She wears an expression as if she’s lived a hundred lives but still not quite found what she’s looking for, and it stirs something deep in my soul.

The accents are 🔥🔥🔥

The accents, swoon, story, and spice are so incredible in this book by L.A. Gallagher. I could not put this down. Sean Masters and Avery Caris did a phenomenal job narrating this story. Their accents just made the story that much more intriguing. I was hooked from the first chapter. Do yourself a favor and listen to this one it is so worth It!

James & Scarlett!

LA Gallagher, you have my attention! This book has it all! I love a good age gap, alpha male, billionaire romance and this one definitely pushes all the right buttons. James and Scarlett meet under unusual circumstances, but their chemistry is real. Not only protecting her from a precarious situation, he offers her a fake relationship to help his playboy reputation out. But that close proximity leads to more and as things on the outside seem perfect, Scarlett holds a secret that can destroy them. But will it? I love getting to know a family and the Becketts are proving to be a lot of fun. The siblings have the fun banter and at the same time have the support for each other. And the spice, the banter, and the relationship that builds between James and Scarlett was fun. I enjoyed this one!

I think the choice of Avery Caris and Sean Masters were an amazing choice for these two characters. The Irish brogue just adds to the charisma they bring to the table as they bring out all the feelings. I loved this team and loved their performance.

Duet narration - Sean Masters & Avery Caris

My first book by this author and I truly enjoyed it. I loved the narrators. They did the accents so well it felt and sounded natural.

James is the oldest of the Beckett brothers and he’s known as a playboy never being seen with the same women more than one time. He is in some hot water with his families company and his father is forcing him to settle down. He has one year to find a wife or his father will choose one for him.

Scarlett is in a mountain of debt and almost finished with college getting her degree in finance. Taking a well paying job at a high end gentleman’s club with her best friend she did not expect to find the man of her dreams.

This slow burn is full of tension, secrets, and great banter. I am looking forward to more audios in this series.

Great story, great narration

Enjoyed the narration and the story. It’s definitely one of the better paced audiobooks that I’ve listened to in the last year. it was fun, sexy, flirty, with a touch of suspense. Spice was solid.
