I just finished listening, and I have to say, it's brilliant! The book is well-thought-out, expertly crafted, and exceptionally written. I loved how it balanced solid empirical data with witty humor, including those clever double entendres that reveal the author’s personality. At times, it felt like I was in church, nodding in agreement and even finishing a few sentences. Despite being a vegan for almost ten years, I’ve gained far more knowledge than I expected. I’m excited to start my floor one journey tomorrow, perfectly timed with the new month!

I enjoyed the book and appreciated his approach to veganism infused with facts and humor. John narrates the book and kept me engaged the entire time. He make compelling arguments for going vegan by the human welfare, animal welfare, environmental and health perspectives. I have heard all of these rationales in the past, but appreciated his humor and how he phrased certain perspectives that might resonate with more people. I live near and work in a hospital in St. Louis where John is from and see the impact of food deserts and an unhealthy diet on the health of our population. I loved the PDF that accompanied the audible book which was 120 pages of information and recipes. Highly recommend this book.

I love being vegan

It focuses on plant based diets but encourages starting where you are, even if that means semi unhealthy vegan food. There’s a nice balance of personal storytelling and scientific information. Very easy to listen to and feels like listening to a friend. I was already plant based but I learned about new foods and research.
