Midnight Assembly

Golden Masters, Book 1

By: C.S. Solarys

Narrated by: Michelle Sparks, Joe Arden

From author C.S. Solarys comes a dark, slow-burn stalker mafia romance with enemies-to-lovers tension, forced proximity, and a dangerously obsessive, morally black antihero.

I am haunted by the legacy of a madman. My father is a brutal, vicious capo dei capi who’ll do anything for a profit he doesn’t need.

And I want no part of it.

I’ve spent all my life planning my exit, building an empire that will crush his, and everything is finally aligned for my takeover, until the stunning Scarlett Morgana Greene ruins it just by existing.

Loathing her is mercy.

She’s also my best friend’s girl and my current assignment in Aurea Dominorum—The Golden Masters.

My eyes are on her.

Always on her.

Even when I see her tripping and doing things she’ll regret, things no one else should see, I don’t shut the door or tell my friend to take care of his girl.

I press record.

She owes me in blood, and I will collect.

Dominating alpha male with a soft spot

What a beautiful story. it started a little confusing but quickly figured out how thing work in the secret society. Some areas of the book it felt like it was missing , like there was more to be said . The fact that he turned out to be a Dom turned the spice to a new level..I just love a possessive MMC
The pairing of Joe Arden and Michelle Sparks in the narration made this book exquisite. Definitely will listen to this again. Looking forward to the next book.

Great read!!

This was overall a great book! The characters were fantastic and the spice was top notch. The narrators really brought the characters to life! I'm a sucker for enemies to lovers and mafia vibes and this hit for me!

My first 5 star review in a while!

Ngl, I’ve been going through a rough reading week or so, but this one got me out of it! Narration and plot were both perfection—I can’t wait for the rest of the series. I do wish the ending weren’t as rushed but I still feel like it was wrapped up nicely and don’t feel like I’d take away a star for it or anything. This was a goodie!

Dark & Spicy - Amazing Performance

All the best things in one place. Midnight Assembly is a dark romance revolving around a secret society that has all the dark academia vibes. Performed in duet by two favorites, Michelle Sparks and Joe Arden! They had the banter, allurement, and entertainment mastered.

Midnight Assembly is a slow burn (ish) dark romance that has enemies to lovers, insta-love, he falls first, epic banter, pierced MMC, touch her 💀, and off the charts spice. The OTT MMC loves to cook (insert swoon), take care of his girl, and would literally burn the world down to find her... if she ran. In the end, this was a great listen that kept me intrigued, guessing and wanting more.

This book had everything that I love

C.S. Solarys is a new to me author. What an introduction to this author. This book had everything that I love...enemies to lovers, secret society, forced proximity, morally grey MMC, sassy FMC, witty banter, and spice! Yes, the romance might have been a slow burn one but one it hit, it hit hard!

Michelle Sparks and Joe Arden knocked it out of the park with the audiobook. I love the duet narration. So, so good. You need to grab this audiobook now and hit play!

Ry is fine but he has nothing on Torre. The chemistry that Torry and Scarlett share is what makes enemies to lovers one of my favorite tropes. The Golden Masters are a dangerous group. However, Scarlett showed that she was not afraid of them and they could push her all they wanted but with Torre by her side, she could stand up to them. I look forward to continuing this series.
