Scarlett is finishing her last year of college and is ready to get out of Dublin to see the world. She’s been in hiding from her step brothers who have threatened to kill her for putting their father behind bars. She’s been very good at keeping under the radar, working hard, and focusing on school. Needing more money, she starts working at a club as a pole dancer where she meets James.
James Becket is CEO of his family’s whiskey empire and is in danger of being fired because of a scandal. He is given the ultimatum to find a wife to fix his image, or lose his job. After seeing Scarlett at the club, he just can’t get her out of his head! So they both make a deal to act as a couple until his scandal dies down and she graduates from college.

The relationship between James and Scarlett was sweet and spicy 🌶️ I really liked the obsessive and accepting love James had for Scarlett ❤️ Of course he was attracted to her, but he wanted to make her happy and keep her safe which made the story better to me. I also loved the protective family dynamic and how each brother had their role to play in the story.

The audiobook was duet narrated and it was really good! Avery Caris did so well with her accent and portrayal of Scarlett. Sean Masters with an accent made me swoon and he was perfect for James ❤️ This book was spicy, but had an interesting story weaved in! The twists kept me entertained as well and the epilogue made me run to get the second book! This was my first book from this author and I’ll definitely be checking out more from them ❤️

Scarlet is a dancer at a "gentleman 's club" and catches James' eye. He is instantly intrigued by Scarlet and is determined to be around her. He proposes a fake dating deal to get the board off his back in return the money will help pay for her education.

This is a dark mafia romance between two opposites. I've been itching for a good mafia romance, and this scratched that itch. The spice was good.

Audiobook is narrated in duet by Avery Caris and Sean Masters. They are excellent narrators and were great as Scarlett and James.

Great story, great narration

Enjoyed the narration and the story. It’s definitely one of the better paced audiobooks that I’ve listened to in the last year. it was fun, sexy, flirty, with a touch of suspense. Spice was solid.

LA Gallagher is a new to me author. Wreck Me is the first book in her Beckett Brothers series. I had the pleasure to listen to parts of book 3 being narrated and knew I needed to read the first book. So I read the kindle version before I even got the ALC and I flew through it!

I love James and Scarlett and I love their story. Billionaire romances are usually not my cup of tea, but there was something about this book that was like a drug!

Sean Masters and Avery Caris did a masterful job at the accents in this book. They are both pretty high up in my rankings of narrators and this book helped them get higher. Fantastic work was done by both narrators!!

I can’t wait to listen/read the rest of this series.

the voices are fabulous. the story line of him standing behind her trauma was perfect.

the story line kept me wanting more. I enjoyed this book. can't wait to get the next one
