Wreck Me is book #1 in The Beckett Brothers series. This is my first listen by the author and I am now a fan for this series! I mean, the bonus prologue starts off HOTT!!!!🔥 Based in Ireland, the Becketts have a whiskey empire along with some clubs, hotels, restaurants, etc., and I can't wait to hear all their stories. James Beckett is CEO of the family business, a total man-ho, and now the center of a sex scandal. Scarlett Fitzgerald is a student close to achieving her Master's in Finance, but working as a pole dancer to pay tuition. She's smart, young, still holds her V-card, and has caught the obsessive attention of James. He needs to clean up his image with the board, she needs the money, so a fake dating arrangement is the answer. Family secrets, threats from a rival distillery, and a spicy age-gap relationship made this story completely binge-worthy.

The duet narration was total perfection with both casting and performance. Sean Masters and Avery Caris (and Maxine Mitchell cameo) gave us accents for days and spice that kept my ears smoking! Loved, loved, loved this cast. 5/5 stars!

Narration by Avery Caris and Sean Masters was delightful and perfect to voice Scarlett and James.

She wears an expression as if she’s lived a hundred lives but still not quite found what she’s looking for, and it stirs something deep in my soul.

LA Gallagher, you have my attention! This book has it all! I love a good age gap, alpha male, billionaire romance and this one definitely pushes all the right buttons. James and Scarlett meet under unusual circumstances, but their chemistry is real. Not only protecting her from a precarious situation, he offers her a fake relationship to help his playboy reputation out. But that close proximity leads to more and as things on the outside seem perfect, Scarlett holds a secret that can destroy them. But will it? I love getting to know a family and the Becketts are proving to be a lot of fun. The siblings have the fun banter and at the same time have the support for each other. And the spice, the banter, and the relationship that builds between James and Scarlett was fun. I enjoyed this one!

I think the choice of Avery Caris and Sean Masters were an amazing choice for these two characters. The Irish brogue just adds to the charisma they bring to the table as they bring out all the feelings. I loved this team and loved their performance.

Duet narration - Sean Masters & Avery Caris

My first book by this author and I truly enjoyed it. I loved the narrators. They did the accents so well it felt and sounded natural.

James is the oldest of the Beckett brothers and he’s known as a playboy never being seen with the same women more than one time. He is in some hot water with his families company and his father is forcing him to settle down. He has one year to find a wife or his father will choose one for him.

Scarlett is in a mountain of debt and almost finished with college getting her degree in finance. Taking a well paying job at a high end gentleman’s club with her best friend she did not expect to find the man of her dreams.

This slow burn is full of tension, secrets, and great banter. I am looking forward to more audios in this series.

A heady mix of temptation power and vulnerability

Sometimes a book grabs you from the first chapter and doesn’t let go Wreck Me did exactly that. Set against the backdrop of Dublin’s elite, it’s a story where seduction and secrets intertwine until you can’t tell which is more dangerous. This was my first read by L.A. Gallagher, and it absolutely won’t be my last. The story has that intoxicating mix of power, desire, and vulnerability that makes it impossible to put down. Gallagher’s writing flows so naturally that it feels cinematic every scene unfolding like a guilty pleasure you can’t resist. I did find the romance a little fast-paced at times, and I think a slower build could’ve given the emotional depth even more impact. But even so, it’s a beautifully written, forbidden love story that perfectly balances heat with heart.

Their Irish accents added authenticity and depth, turning the story into something magnetic. Avery Caris captures Scarlett’s innocence and inner strength beautifully, while Sean Masters embodies James’s charisma and emotional complexity with ease. Together, they bring out every spark of chemistry, every whisper of tension, and every ounce of heartbreak. Their performance made the story come alive and honestly, those accents alone were enough to melt me.
